Brrr! It's cold outside. I really do love this time of the year, and all the festivities that come with the holiday season. Eventually though (usually around mid February) I will tire of bundling up in layers of clothes, scarves and gloves in an attempt to stay warm. I will be dreaming of leaving the cold behind and visiting some place tropical and warm like Puerto Rico. After all, the new year is just days away so it's time to start thinking about 2014 travel destinations. 2014 would be a great year to visit Puerto Rico!

– Take in some local history and enjoy old world charm of San Juan.
– A horse back ride on the magnificent Camuy caverns that runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river in the world.
– Foodies can experience the delicacies of Puerto Rico and it’s famous Rums.

My husband and I are newlyweds. A few years ago before we were married we saw bio-luminescence in the Cayman Islands. My husband went absolutely nuts. He loved it and said he felt like he was in Avatar. I couldn’t get him out of the water – even though there were tons of jellyfish in the sea! He said he felt the risk of the jellyfish was worth it to experience the magical light show that he was creating with his movement in the water.
The bio-luminescence in Puerto Rico is supposed to be the best in the world. I would love to take my husband to see it and see the excitement in his face!!

I’d love to snorkel off of Flamenco Beach, explore El Yunque National Forest, and try the La Bestia zipline! Thank-you!
I want to explore all of the 14 state forests, including El Yunque, the only sub-tropical rainforest in the United States, and the Guánica Dry Forest, a United Nations Biosphere Reserve!
