Don’t you sometimes wish you could label all your stuff so that the kids, your spouse, and other family members would know to keep hands off? It seems like whenever I get something new it’s a free for all around here, especially with makeup and shoes now that my nieces are teenagers. Call me stingy, but a bathrobe is one of those things that I just don’t like to share. I was excited to receive a luxurious new monogrammed bathrobe to review from Monogrammed Bathrobes, an online bathrobe retailer.
I am such a fan of personalized gifts of any kind, and love the idea of having a bathrobe that is labeled with my initial. The Retreat Soft-Knit Waffle Shawl bathrobe that I received is so amazingly soft and luxurious. If there were an award ceremony for the most luxurious spa robes, this robe would win the Oscar. According to the Monogrammed Bathrobes web site, “The Lush Knit Waffle incorporates modal fibers – one of the world’s softest textiles – with a classic shawl collar. Modal fibers are more than three times softer than cotton, which creates an embracing, relaxing, pampering comfort that is hard to match and even describe.” and I couldn’t agree more – this robe is incredibly soft.
Being a plus sized woman I often have a problem with one-size fits all garments, because let’s face it – one size truly doesn’t fit all. I was so worried that my new bathrobe would arrive and be too small for. I am so happy to say that it fits fabulously. I felt it important to show in this review that the robe fits both a small and large frame comfortably. The side by side image above demonstrates how the robe fits both my petite 14 year old niece and myself. Yes, that is me with no makeup and crazy hair… and before my morning coffee. At 52 inches in length, the robe is more than long enough for me at 5 feet 6 inches tall.
I should also mention that the robe washes very well. As with anything white, I spilled coffee on it the first morning I wore it. I noticed very little shrinkage, if any at all.

You know, I have never been a “robe” kind of girl. My mother LOVES them and will even buy them for me periodically but I never wear them. I normally end up giving them to my daughters. The last time of wore a robe that I LOVED was at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando. The robe was very similar to what you have there and it was the best feeling ever!
