It's Never Too Late to Earn Your College Degree

I didn’t go to college until after I was married and had already given birth to four children. My friends and family must have thought I was crazy to enroll in nursing school with four children at home. In fact, I know they did. I didn’t get the support and encouragement I had hoped for.

If anyone ever tells you that you are too old or too busy to earn your college degree, please look them square in the eye and tell them that it’s never too late to earn your college degree.

I did not graduate from WGU, but am writing this sponsored post for Western Governors University from the perspective of someone who returned to school later in life. I began college while my 4 children were in grade school, and went back to college again to further my education at the age of 50. It’s truly never too late to earn your college degree.

Going to college is so much easier these days for busy Moms and Dads thanks to online degree programs through schools like WGU.

Gone are the days of spending all day sitting in a classroom. You can do it on your schedule when you have time. Maybe while your kids are in school during the day, or while the baby is sleeping at night? Being a parent doesn’t mean you can’t further your education. In fact, it’s exactly the reason you should further your education.

Programs like those at WGU allow the flexibility in schedule, so you can balance your family life, work and school.

Watch this WGU Graduation Video. It really moved me, as someone who knows both the sacrifice and the benefits of continued education. It’s encouraging to see how attainable a college degree now is thanks to technology.

It’s never too late to accomplish your goals, and in the process, become a better version of yourself.

Waive the WGU Application Fee. WGU is offering my readers a special code to waive the $65 application fee.
