As a parent I understand how little free time there is for keeping up with the news when you’re busy chasing after little ones, or driving back and forth to after school activities. Some days it can be challenging to find time for a shower, let alone browse the internet or read the newspaper. That is why I like to visit MSN for Windows 8 to keep abreast of the latest news, trends, and happenings in my community and across the nation. I can also find articles that cover topics important to me, such as information on the latest product recalls, things to keep the kids busy this summer or affordable family vacation options.

The all new MSN for Windows 8 is 4 times faster than other top sites, making it perfect for my limited time to read the news and current events. As part of the Windows Champions program, I’ve had an opportunity to get up close and personal with the many benefits of Windows 8 and love reading MSN on my Surface RT tablet. The new MSN was designed for the touch screen experience that I get with my tablet, and is also available on mobile.

Here are five fabulous resources for parents on MSN that I have recently bookmarked:

DIY food stamping ideas for families – I am always looking for inexpensive craft projects and got some great inspiration from this article on how to make our own veggie stamps.

‘Staycation’ ideas for parents – If a family vacation isn’t in the budget this year, this article has some fabulous ideas for things to do in your community – some right in your own backyard.

21 adorable Etsy finds for little ones – I am such a fan of Etsy and enjoyed flipping through this super sweet collection of stuff for babies and kids found on Etsy.

Baby socks, infant clothing, magnets recalled – I don’t know about you, but I am terrified over the thought that one of my kids could be injured or worse because of a defective product. I found this article to be very informative about recent product recalls.

Crisis hotline turning to texts to reach teens – This was so interesting to me, as a parent to a young adult. Today’s teens are addicted to texting, so it’s good to see crisis hotlines tapping into this as a way to communicate with and help kids in need.

There is so much great information available for parents on the new MSN. Be sure to check out the new, faster MSN Living for more articles related to family and kids.

This is part of a compensated campaign with MSN. All thoughts/opinions remain solely that of the author.
