I grew up in a large family, with 3 siblings and several cousins who were practically like siblings. My best friend, Kristen, who moved into the house next door when we were 5 years old is considered family, as well. The other Navy wives that I grew to love and depend on while our husbands were deployed – they are family too. The co-workers and friends that I shared a little cubicle with for 15 years are again – like family. I also consider some of the amazing bloggers I have met over the years as part of my growing family. My family is vast and I feel very blessed. The family of today is an ever growing and ever changing picture, and Sprint gets that with the introduction of the Sprint Framily Plan.
Early in January, Sprint launched an exciting new pricing program that lets you decide who you consider family – the Sprint Framily Plan. It’s not a typo. Framily = Friends + Family. The more people added to the group, up to 10 phone lines, the greater the savings for everyone on the plan. Because each account can be billed separately, customers can choose who is in their group. How neat is that?
Your yoga teacher. Your favorite barista. Your fantasy football team. Parents on your son’s soccer team. Your BFF since high school. Your cube mate. Your parents. A group of family, friends and others you can now call “framily.”
According to the 2010 U.S. Census, 60 percent of total U.S. households are made up of fewer than three people and are growing more quickly than larger households. The Sprint Framily plan gives these 60 percent of households the opportunity to create a family plan with virtually any group who wants to come together to purchase wireless service.
How it all works:
For one line of service, new Sprint customers pay $55 per month per line for unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data. For each additional new Sprint customer that joins the Framily group, the cost per person goes down $5 a month up to a maximum monthly discount of $30 per line. Build a group of at least seven people and everyone gets unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data for $25 per month per line (pricing excludes taxes and surcharges).
All members of the group can customize their plan to meet their unique needs. For only $20 per month per line, Framily members can buy up to unlimited data plus get a new phone every year. Plan members can share the savings, without the hassle of sharing a bill. Each account can be billed separately. Unlimited features are while on the Sprint network.
Who’s in your Framily?
Now your softball team, cousins, friends, co-workers, yoga instructor, and anyone else in your extended community can be included in your “framily”. Sprint has set up a special web site where you can learn more and start building your own Sprint Framily today. To celebrate the new Sprint Framily Plan, I am excited to share a giveaway with you. One lucky About A Mom reader will win a Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini for the Sprint Network (service and activation are not included).
Is a small device more your style? Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini features many of the exciting features of Samsung Galaxy S 4 in a sleek, compact design. This Android™ 4.2.2, Jelly Bean, smartphone offers a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED™ HD display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 16GB memory and 1,900mAh lithium-ion battery. It’s also loaded with a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera and innovative camera features for vividly capturing life’s most important moments.
I have had the opportunity to use a Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini the last few weeks, and although I am usually partial to a larger phone, am very happy with this smaller version of the S4. The pocket-sized portability is quite nice, and something I don’t currently have with the Samsung Mega. The S4 Mini may be small, but when it comes to display and sound this little phone packs a surprising punch.
The colors on this phone seem to pop, and the display is sharp and clear. Don’t let the size of the S4 Mini fool you when it comes to sound, it can get quite loud. It’s perfect for you if you mostly use your phone for texting, calls, music, or watching YouTube every now. Although the smaller size isn’t something I normally would gravitate toward, texting and doing things like interacting on Facebook are surprisingly easy to do from this phone. For me, one of the most important features of a smartphone is the quality of the pictures it takes. As expected, the picture quality from the S 4 Mini’s 8 megapixel front-facing camera is fantastic. Another perk, is that it doesn’t take up much room in a purse, and you won’t even notice it’s there when in your pocket. I think the best thing about this smartphone is it’s affordability – running about $200 less than it’s full sized counterpart.
If you’re curious about size. The side by side image above is of my Samsung Galaxy S3 and the S4 Mini. In case you haven’t noticed, I LOVE Samsung products and the Galaxy S 4 Mini is no exception.
Like I mentioned earlier, one lucky About A Mom reader is going to win a new Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini for the Sprint Network. Service and activation are not included. Giveaway is open to U.S. readers, ages 18+, and ends on April 6, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.
disclosure: As a #SprintMom Ambassador, I receive products and services to use throughout the year.
