Why We Chew Orbit for Kids Sugar Free Gum

Orbit Gum for Kids

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Orbit for Kids Gum. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

I have to admit that I have always thought of chewing gum as a treat for my children and grandchildren. After all, how often is something they really want actually good for them? Participating in this Orbit for Kids gum campaign has truly enlightened me on the many benefits of chewing gum… the right gum of course.

Orbit sent us this fun bag full of oral healthcare products.

I’ve never seen my grandkids so happy about taking care of their teeth.

A bit about what I’ve learned and like about the new Orbit for Kids:

New Orbit for Kids is sugarfree and ADA approved.

Chewing sugarfree gum stimulates saliva production which is an important defense mechanism to help protect teeth.

The increased saliva stimulation that comes from chewing sugarfree gum has been demonstrated to neutralize plaque acids.

Chewing sugarfree gum within 15 minutes of eating or drinking helps to keep teeth clean by clearing food debris from teeth. That’s something to smile about!

The list of benefits of chewing gum like Orbit for Kids is quite impressive. I no longer look at gum as just a treat for the kids. Chewing sugar-free gum will never replace brushing and flossing, but it is a way to help keep their teeth clean between meals, and protect their teeth throughout the day.

Orbit for Kids gum is available in two kid-friendly sugarfree flavors: Original Bubble Gum and Strawberry Banana. We tried the Strawberry Banana variety and my granddaughters really enjoyed the flavor and said the flavor lasted longer than some other varieties we have tried.

As far as blowing bubbles goes… Let’s just say we tried.

Chewing sugar-free gum is only recommended if your kids are old enough and responsible enough to keep gum in their mouths – not swallowing it, not putting it in their sister’s hair or underneath the coffee table. If your kids are old enough to responsibly chew gum, it’s a great way to improve oral health.
