For the second year in a row I am participating in a Summer Fun series with Nap-Time Creations and some other amazing bloggers. Be sure to check out the other blogger’s summer fun projects at the bottom of this post! Do you remember my bowling game craft from last summer? It was loads of fun too.
We had so much fun with this craft. My daughter is obsessed with Dory, mermaids, and everything under the sea lately. We used cupcake liners to make the tentacles, but you could also use any type of ribbon.

Paper Plate Jellyfish Craft
Supplies:
paper plates
cupcake liners in various colors
assorted acrylic craft paints
piece of yarn or string
clear tape
craft glue
scissors
Directions:
Cut the paper plate in half. Paint the outside of each half, and paint on some eyes. Allow to dry.
Meanwhile, make the tentacles by cutting around the bottom of a cupcake liner. One cut down to the bottom, then around the circle. For each jellyfish you’ll need 4 tentacles, and you’ll need to tape two cucpake liners together to achieve the proper length. So that’s 8 total cupcake liners per jellyfish.
Once the paper plate is dry, tape tentacles onto the inside of the face. We stapled a piece of yarn to the top of the plate for hanging. Lastly, glue the paper plates together and allow to dry completely.
