Pepperidge Farm

Pepperidge Farm celebrates 75 years of goodness with a heritage as rich and alive today as when the company was founded on a mother’s love for her son back in 1937. It all began with a humble loaf of bread, which Pepperidge Farm founder Margaret Rudkin baked in her rural Connecticut kitchen in response to her son’s allergy to common preservatives. Margaret’s simple recipe is the origin of a business flourishing 75 years later. The company has come a long way over the last 75 years.

Pepperidge Farm Celebrates 75 Years of Goodness

On August 15, 1937, the first “official” loaf of Pepperidge Farm all natural, whole grain bread was sold in a store for 25 cents.

By September 27, 1939, one million loaves of Pepperidge Farm bread had been sold.

Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish crackers were originally made and marketed in Switzerland as “Goldfish Tiny Crackers” before being brought to the U.S. by Margaret Rudkin in 1962.

Pepperidge Farm is committed to accelerating snacking and baking advancements in the future as evidenced by the 34,000-sqare-foot Innovation Center opening this fall at the company’s headquarters in Norwalk, CT.

Annually, the brand produces about 558 million Milano® cookies—enough to cross the United States more than 7 times—and bakes approximately 206 million loaves of bread.

Happy Anniversary Pepperidge Farm!

{Review}
We received a Pepperidge Farm 75th Celebration Pack to review, and I would embarrass myself if I told you just how excited I was to receive this package. From the crunchy, smiling Goldfish Crackers to the delicately sweet Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread, Pepperidge Farm has been a favorite brand of my family for many years.

Jingos! crackers– Featuring bold flavor and a snappy crunch, these brand new snack crackers are available in three varieties: zesty Lime & Sweet Chili, savory Parmesan Garlic, and smoky Fiesta Cheddar. I have to tell you that Jingos! crackers are not for the faint of heart. These little cuties pack a lot of flavor! My family has thoroughly enjoyed all three flavors, but my personal favorite is the Lime & Sweet Chili. It packs the same intense flavor as the chili lime chicken dish I always get at my favorite restaurant. It’s great that whenever I want that perfect combination of zesty lime and sweet chili, all I have to do is open a box of Jingos! crackers.

Milano Slices and Milano Melts – The iconic Milano cookie family expands with open-faced Milano Slices in Salted Pretzel – a temptingly crunchy combination of sweet and salty flavors – and Milano Melts Vanilla Crème – a crispy, chocolaty cookie with a velvety filling. I’ve been known on more than one occasion to eat my way through a whole package of Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies in one sitting. They are one of those things in life that I just can’t get enough of. The original Milano cookies are so perfect. Is it even possible for Pepperidge Farm to improve them? The answer is an astounding YES! These two new varieties have knocked my socks off!

The new Milano Melts Vanilla Crème cookie is a perfect crisp chocolate cookie wit. When you bit into it, you’re surprised by a lot of creamy vanilla filling. It’s perfection in a cookie! Milano Slices in Salted Pretzel give you that perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. It doesn’t get any better!

Goldfish – Everyone loves Goldfish crackers – tasty, fun wholesome treats. The Snack That Smiles Back. Margaret Rudkin really knew what she was doing when she bought the rights to Goldfish crackers back in 1962. When I hear the name Pepperidge Farm, my mind first goes to the Goldfish cracker. Three generations of my own family have enjoyed munching on Goldfish. They are a tried and true toddler snack that is just perfect for little fingers. In our house, even Grannie enjoys munching on Goldfish crackers as a snack.

What is your family’s favorite Pepperidge Farm product?
