It’s no secret that I love my pets. In fact, I’ve received a little ribbing over the last few years from friends and family for pampering my dogs so much. (I am not alone in this though – Grandma Laura does her fair share of spoiling these dogs rotten.) My son has gotten older and doesn’t want his mom to baby him anymore, so it’s my two dogs who benefit from my yearn to make a fuss. However, being a good pet owner is much more than just walks, treats, and belly rubbing. Regular visits to the see the Veterinarian and protection from fleas and ticks are the most important things I can do for my dogs. This Fall I’ll be using PetArmor flea and tick prevention to keep my dogs safe. Thank you to PetArmor and Mom It Forward for sponsoring this blog post. My dogs Winston and Lilly love the chance to be in the spotlight.
Here’s a picture of us taking a minute to rest after a walk…
Then they spotted the neighbor’s dog across the street…
Do you see why I have to keep these vicious killers on a tight leash? As ferocious as these two are, they are defenseless against bloodsucking fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. That’s why I rely on products such as PetArmor for flea and tick protection. During the Summer months the threat of disease from these bloodsuckers is more obvious, but it’s during the Fall months when certain species of ticks, such as the American Dog Tick and the Deer Tick, are more active. Fleas and Ticks are dangerous to both pets and humans. Ticks carry deadly diseases such as Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Lucky for both me and my dogs, PetArmor is an effective solution for flea and tick protection.
We go for regular walks and live in a wooded area, so keeping fleas and ticks at bay is important to me. All it takes is a once per month application of PetArmor on the back of my dog’s necks for them to be protected from those nasty bloodsuckers.
I like that PetArmor costs significantly less than many other brands, but still contains the same No. 1 vet-recommended active ingredient Fipronil found in Frontline brand products. This means that I have more money to buy Winston and Lilly treats!
