Whether you are getting ready to hit the gym or need to power up before the afternoon carpool, high-protein snacks are the way to go. A protein-packed snack is going to boost your energy, and curb your appetite longer than a carb-filled snack. Drinking a glass of Silk Soymilk is how I prevent the 2 p.m. lull. I’m excited to partner with Silk Soymilk to share some of my favorite high protein snacks.
Since both my dog, Winston, and I can stand to lose a little weight, I recently added an additional late-morning walk to our daily routine. I find that a high-protein snack really gives me the energy I need to go that extra mile, and hold me over until lunchtime.
Some of my favorite high-protein snacks:
Apple and Peanut Butter: A sliced apple eaten with a couple tablespoons of peanut butter is a high-protein snack that’s also full of fiber. I have to add an extra scoop of peanut butter, since my dog Winston loves this snack too!
Cottage Cheese and Fruit: Half a cup of cottage cheese with half a cup of your favorite fruit is such a yummy, protein-packed snack. If you’re not sure which fruit to use, think superfoods such as melon, berries and banana. I am such a fan of this snack and even make this my breakfast sometimes. If cottage cheese isn’t your thing, swap it out for Greek yogurt.
Nut-Based Bars: A pre-packaged bar that is jam packed with nuts can be a great source of protein on the go. Add a piece of fruit for a balanced snack.
Deli Roll: 2 slices of deli meat wrapped around a slice of cheese is a quick and easy protein-filled snack. Add a slice of tomato for some veggie points!
Hard-Boiled Eggs: Inexpensive and loaded with nutrients, snacking on a hard-boiled egg is great way to keep up your energy. I like to always have a couple ready in the fridge.
Silk Soymilk: Perfect for an on-the-go snack, no other dairy-free milk brand gives you more protein than Silk! With 8 grams of heart-healthy, plant-powered protein and a smooth delicious taste, Silk Original Soymilk gives you plenty to love. And because Silk is plant-based, it’s naturally low in saturated fat and has no cholesterol.

I love to have a nut bar and a glass of Silk to get my energy back up. It’s a great way to get some power.
Peanut butter is my #1 protein source, too! But I’ll add some oatmeal into smoothies to take me longer into the morning. I feel like it sustains me with the fiber.

I know I don’t get enough protein and I always forget to make hardboiled eggs despite how much I love them. I need to just make a pot of them and eat one for breakfast like I used to.

The deli roll is my favorite quick protein snack. These are all snack great ideas, I’ll be sure to try them.
