Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet Iced Tea for Summer Refreshment

Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet Iced Tea

There are two things you can always count on here in Georgia – hot summers and lots of iced tea. Serving iced tea to guests is just part of southern hospitality. I always have a pitcher of tea in the fridge, but you never know if guests are going to want it sweet or unsweetened. I’m one of those difficult people who always asks for half and half, because I don’t like my sweet tea overly sweet. I was very happy to learn about the new Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet Iced Tea varieties.

Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet Iced Tea has fast become one of my favorite summer refreshments!

I received the lovely assortment of teas pictured above through my participation in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pure Leaf. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Now I realize that consuming a lot of calories by drinking too much sweet tea is not a good idea, so I am happy to share that Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet Iced Tea is made from the finest all-natural ingredients, using no artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup.

Introducing Not Too Sweet Iced Tea:

Not Too Sweet Peach Tea: A lighter version of the classic, the natural tangy-sweet flavor of peach mingles with the bold, refreshing taste of all-natural black tea leaves. (45 calories per 8oz. serving)

Not Too Sweet Honey Green Tea : The delicate flavors of green tea and honey pair perfectly together to make a light and refreshing iced tea. (45 calories per 8-oz. serving)

Pure Leaf makes for a great ingredient in a drink recipe like this Peach Blueberry-Basil Iced Tea!

Pure Leaf teas have that fresh brewed taste because it is real brewed tea made from only the finest natural ingredients. The all-natural iced tea begins with the freshest tea leaves picked at their peak. The leaves are then hand-selected from China, India, Africa and South America for their distinctive and smooth flavor by Pure Leaf’s Master Tea Blenders. Pure Leaf is proud to be Rainforest Alliance Certified™ for sourcing tea sustainably.

I was also happy to learn that Pure Leaf uses sustainable packaging.

On summertime refreshments: Summertime is party time, and nothing says celebration like cocktails—and mocktails! A splash of vodka (or not) in Pure Leaf Sweet Tea, along with some fresh cherries, an ounce of elderflower liqueur, and some fresh mint—or, if you’re adventuresome, fresh basil— makes for a great, refreshing, showy treat!

On Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet flavors: The clean, crisp refreshment of Pure Leaf Not Too Sweet is perfect for lightly seasoned, light fare like salads, shrimp, and other delicate foods—compliments them without overwhelming them.

On hosting a barbecue: When you’re barbecuing, make it easier on yourself by prepping ahead with side dishes that don’t need to be heated: Bean salads, pasta salads, even a panzanella bread salad are easy to make ahead, and that frees you up to be the Grill Master.

Idea for Labor Day party: It’s your last chance of the summer to wear white—so throw a White Party! Serve white beans, white asparagus, white Belgian beer, and be sure to tuck a napkin into your collar before eating.

On pairing with tea (a tip he’s sharing at a special pairings seminar at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen): The delicate, refreshing flavor of tea pairs beautifully with almost any food. Think of its abilities to clean your palate of rich, sweet flavors, and to compliment more delicate ones. Offer a range of teas—sweet, unsweetened, not-too-sweet, peach—to give your guests choices, then serve with interesting garnishes (cherries, kiwi, blood orange, Meyer lemon, and a selection of herbs).

On dinner parties: Nobody wants to hear themselves chewing at a dinner party, so don’t let “dead air” happen at yours! For a fun ambiance, the music must never stop. Develop a playlist of Chet Baker.

Pure Leaf Iced Tea, including the new Not Too Sweet varieties, is available in both a Carafe ($2.49–$2.69)

  • These look delicious! It makes me want one right now! I’m curious about the carb content, however, as I’m diabetic.

  • 45 calories are not too many calories in the great scheme of things! I try to avoid sugar and especially I don’t want to consumer sugary drinks because it’s just so easy to overdo it. These look like a great alternative for health-conscious people like us.

  • I’m becoming addicted to the tea/lemonade combo, but after seeing this I should really consider the fruit combos as well. There’s a lot you can do with tea.

  • I have got to try this tea. I love iced tea but most of the time it is way to sweet. I have got to try the Peach Blueberry-Basil Iced Tea Recipe. It looks so fresh and refreshing.

  • My daughter started buying me Pure Leaf tea not that long ago and I love it. It doesn’t have that terrible fake lemony taste that most of the bottled teas have. I haven’t tried their sweet tea yet but I going too.
