Remember the good times, parents. They say when you have kids that the days are long but the years are fast. If you’re a parent, you understand this to be true.

They say when you have kids that the days are long but the years are fast. If you’re a parent, you understand this to be true. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of reminiscing about my parenting years. It’s hard to believe my son will turn 30 later this year, and I’m still parenting an 8 year old. So much love, laughter, and also many tears over the years. Many cherished memories and much more still to come.

My son at age 3. Always the comedian.

The good memories help me get through those difficult days as a parent. Every parent has bad days when they feel like they are doing this parenting thing all wrong. It’s easy for parents to ask themselves, “‘Am I doing good enough’?” Minute Maid is on a mission to let parents know they are doing better than they think, and my new post on the Minute Maid Good Minute blog is for all you moms and dads like me who need a reminder from time-to-time that you’re #doinggood.

I hope you’ll head on over to The Good Minute to check it out. It shares some of my favorite parenting memories, and a few of my mom’s favorites too. Mom and I had such a good time chatting about those parenting moments that stand out the most. I also pulled some old family pics from my photo albums. They are so much fun!

I’d love to hear, what are some of your favorite parenting memories?

  • My daughter will be off to college next fall and I have been reminiscing about all the good years we’ve had. I think some of my favorites were the little moments- hugs and story time at bedtime, singing in the car, helping in the kitchen. Sigh. They sure to grow up fast.

  • I loved it when my family would all hang out together and laugh. Now that the kids are off at college I have been thinking about all our memories. I will have to head on over to The Good Minute and check it out.

  • With a 1 and 3 year old, lately I have truly been feeling like I suck at this parenting thing. I know there will be bad days, and this a great reminder that we have go through this with doubt. But I do have to remember to cherish these moments. Thank you for this!

  • I have so many great memories through the years with my son growing up. When I feel down I think back to those moments.
