This blog post is part of a paid Megan Media and Cricket Wireless blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.
We live in a such a connected world. These days, many kids get their first smartphone as early as elementary school. Most moms and dads wouldn’t dare leave the house without their cell phone in tow. In fact, for many people today, not having their cell phone close by is a major cause of anxiety. This condition has become so common that it was actually given a name: Nomophobia. The struggle is real y’all. As a social media-addicted blogger I am keenly aware of this affliction and the importance of having a reliable and affordable mobile phone provider. I’m so excited to share my new partnership as a #SwitchforSmiles Cricket Wireless Ambassador. I look forward to sharing the savings and many benefits that come with being a Cricket Wireless customer.
So many of us began the year with new budgets and savings plans. Cutting the cell phone bill completely isn’t an option for most of us in this Nomophobic society. So while your cell phone bill may be one of your biggest expenses, chances are it’s not going away completely. This girl isn’t giving up her smartphone. No can do.
Thanks to Cricket Wireless you don’t have to ditch your mobile phone to save money.
Cricket Wireless is the perfect way to trim your budget without giving up your cell phone and all the features you love. Cricket Wireless provides more 4G LTE coverage nationwide than T-Mobile or Sprint, and they still offer affordable monthly service plans. You’ll even save $100 on their best 4G LTE smartphones if you switch to Cricket! * But hurry, this is a limited time offer while supplies last. It does require porting your number and a minimum plan of $40 month which gets you high speed data access and unlimited nationwide talk and text! Other fees, charges & restrictions apply; Make sure to see offer details below. Need another line? Save even more with Group Save. It is a great way to add all the lines you need and save – up to $100 a month with each eligible line you add.
Cricket Wireless is a different kind of cell phone carrier in that they offer many different monthly rate plans that include taxes and fees. This honest, transparent, monthly plan pricing means you won’t have any surprise taxes or fees at the end of the month. Cricket makes it easy to budget your money with no hidden charges. You’ll know just how much money you have left over to add to your fun fund at the end of the month. Â In addition, you can save $5 off of your bill each month with the Auto Pay discount!
Besides the low-cost plans, there are other ways to save with Cricket Wireless. When moving to the Cricket network, there is no need to purchase a new device. Devices are expensive, and you shouldn’t have to get a new one just because you change carriers. Can I get a high five for that? Seriously, this is such a huge and unnecessary expense that you can avoid. Many phones work on the Cricket Network, which means you save money! Check here to see if your device is compatible.
This year I am really focusing on my budget and trying to cut out unneeded costs. Some of that savings is going to my Fun Fund: money I want to dedicate to having more fun. Money I can use for an art class, or going to dinner with friends. Maybe I’ll even get to take an additional trip this year or take the family to an amusement park. I want to pack in as much fun as possible this year and not waste my money on outrageous bills I can avoid. Cricket Wireless is going to help me do just that.

I love pre-paid carriers that let us bring our own devices. It makes switching to cricket a no-brainer – my own phone with a great rate!
We are all about cutting back on expenses and have discussed switching to pre-paid. We’ve been with our current carrier for a very long time and love the service we get. It’s a big decision. Thanks for the info to help us decide.
I had never heard of nomophobia, but I’m pretty sure my husband has it! LOL. You are right though. My own two adult sons don’t even have landlines. They rely solely on their cell phones.
Thanks for sharing. This is timely because we are trying to decide what to do when our contracts expire. It is good to hear about different options to consider.

I am all about saving some money! This sounds like a great service.
Thanks for sharing this. I’ve heard a lot about Cricket, but this is the first real world account I’ve read. I’ll have to look in to them.
I need to find a new carrier. Soon we will have 4/5 people on phones and the prices keep rising.
I’ve been meaning to look into other providers because our current plan is incredibly expensive. Great to learn about their group savings plans. I’m looking into this.
Golly this does sound like a good deal. I have been thinking about switching phone service
Now please don’t fall over in a dead faint–I recently switched to a pay per call cell because I rarely if ever use it!!!! I know I am one of the few–heck even my 93 year old Mom uses it more then me!! This does sound like a great deal for all the rest of you who are attached to your phones!
Cricket wireless sounds like an awesome deal. I will have to check the plans out for sure. Budgeting is something I love to do and the extra cash I would use for a long time coming vacation.
