Sesame Street gets interactive with Kinect Sesame Street TV for XBox 360. Preschoolers and moms alike will love Kinect Sesame Street TV. It transforms passive viewing into active participation. Children can learn through play with their favorite Sesame Street characters. My family received a copy of Kinect Sesame Street TV to review and my grandchildren have spent countless hours learning the alphabet with Big Bird, Counting with the Count, jumping like frogs with Elmo, and so much more.

Kinect Sesame Street TV isn’t actually a game, rather it’s an interactive viewing experience using the Kinect for XBox 360 gaming system. It’s really fun watching the kids have a 2-way conversation with their favorite Sesame Street characters. If your children don’t want to interact, you can just sit back and enjoy the eight 30 minute episodes that are spread over 2 discs. The interactive experience uses both existing Sesame Street episodes and new ones created specifically for the software.

Kinect Sesame Street TV is recommended for children age 3 and up, although my almost 2 year old grandson really enjoys. He mostly seems to follow his 4 year old sisters lead on interacting with the program. I think the interactive experience will be a real draw for older kids why may have recently outgrown the Sesame Street series.

As you would expect from Sesame Street, while interacting with the game kids will learn about friendship, numbers, letters, and do dozens of other activities. They’ll also get some physical activity doing things like throwing coconuts with Grover. This would be such a fun activity for play groups. I can just imagine a whole room full of preschoolers getting in on the Sesame Street action.

My grandchildren have really enjoyed all of the episodes and particularly like jumping like frogs with Elmo and throwing coconuts with Grover.

Kinect Sesame Street TV is available in stores now and has a suggested retail price of $29.99.
