Summer is such an active time for families. Now more than ever it’s helpful to have simple and healthy on-the-go snacks for kids, that you can grab and go on your way out the door. Whether you are heading to the park or the zoo or on a family vacation, when you’re traveling with kids it’s a good idea to have plenty of snacks on hand.
I am going to share some ideas for simple and healthy on-the-go snacks, but first I want to tell you about Jif To Go’s new Halftime Heroes Photo Promotion. It’s pretty great!
Jif To Go Halftime Heroes Photo Promotion
As part of its sponsorship of the 2015 “Kick It” Tour, the world’s largest 3v3 soccer tournament, Jif To Go has teamed up with Christie Rampone, U.S. Captain of The Women’s National Team and mother of two, to help raise $25,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. I told you it was pretty great.
From May 30, 2015 through August 9, 2015, Jif is encouraging families attending the Kick It tournaments to share a picture of how they “get going” as part #JifToGo Halftime Heroes Photo Promotion.
To enter, take pictures with your Jif samples at the Jif tent and post a photo on your Twitter or Instagram page using the hashtags #JifToGo #PromoEntry.
As part of the promotion, Jif will make a $1 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for every entry using the hashtags, up to $25,000.

Simple and Healthy On-The-Go Snacks for Kids
Soccer is such a great sport for kids, and the 3v3 soccer tournament is becoming so popular with families. My son played soccer for years, and whether it was just practice or a big game he always worked up one heck of an appetite. Protein-packed Jif peanut butter is such a sensible option for snacking on-the-go, especially convenient single serve Jif To Go. I love how it’s ready to go and requires no refrigeration.
Apples and peanut butter are an all-time favorite snack at my house. Just cut an apple into wedges and toss in a little lemon juice to keep them from browning. Place the apple pieces into a zipper sealed bag and pack with your favorite Jif To Go variety.
I especially love Jif To Go Natural peanut butter with apples, but any variety is great.
My nieces have never been big fans of plain celery. I think this is probably the case with most kids. Add some Jif To Go peanut butter and celery is magically transformed.
Celery is the perfect dipper for Jif To Go and is great for snacking on-the-go. Celery doesn’t compete for flavor, so all you taste is yummy peanut butter. It’s really good for you too!
When I was a kid, graham crackers were the snack of choice. Some things never change, except we now have Jif To Go for dipping. Kids absolutely love this flavor combination.
When it comes to convenient snacks for life on the go, Jif has got you covered.
Dip into an all-in-one portable snack of Creamy Peanut Butter with Pretzels or Chocolate Silk Peanut Butter Spread with Pretzels with Jif To Go Dippers. From soccer practice to summer travels, Jif To Go Dippers provides a simple and delicious solution for every snacking occasion.
The individually sized 1.5oz Jif To Go cups are great for dipping all of your favorite fruits and vegetables, anytime, anywhere. Available in convenient 3 or 8 count packages, Jif To Go is a great snack to keep you moving throughout the day!
What’s your favorite thing to dip into Jif To Go?
