Summer is such an active time for families. Now more than ever it’s helpful to have simple and healthy on-the-go snacks for kids, that you can grab and go on your way out the door. Whether you are heading to the park or the zoo or on a family vacation, when you’re traveling with kids it’s a good idea to have plenty of snacks on hand.

This post is sponsored by Jif To Go through the Mom It Forward Blogger Network. All opinions and my love for Jif are completely my own.

I am going to share some ideas for simple and healthy on-the-go snacks, but first I want to tell you about Jif To Go’s new Halftime Heroes Photo Promotion. It’s pretty great!

I told you it was pretty great.

Soccer is such a great sport for kids, and the 3v3 soccer tournament is becoming so popular with families. My son played soccer for years, and whether it was just practice or a big game he always worked up one heck of an appetite. Protein-packed Jif peanut butter is such a sensible option for snacking on-the-go, especially convenient single serve Jif To Go. I love how it’s ready to go and requires no refrigeration.

Apples and peanut butter are an all-time favorite snack at my house. Just cut an apple into wedges and toss in a little lemon juice to keep them from browning. Place the apple pieces into a zipper sealed bag and pack with your favorite Jif To Go variety.

I especially love Jif To Go Natural peanut butter with apples, but any variety is great.

My nieces have never been big fans of plain celery. I think this is probably the case with most kids. Add some Jif To Go peanut butter and celery is magically transformed.

  • I love peanut butter and since I eat a high protein diet these jif to go cups are awesome. They are portion controlled and they fit well into a lunch bag or purse. I like to dip my apples in them but celery and peanut butter reminds me of being a kid. My daycare used to make ants on a log for our snack. Now I get to make things like that for my kids. They love peanut butter just as much as their mommy does!!!
