Amidst the morning grumbles and groans, does it ever sound like you are living with a family of bears? My son has never been a morning person, and getting him up and off to school was challenging most mornings. I’m quite a bear myself during the early hours of the day, so having a set morning plan and routine has always helped my family to prepare for a big day.

Simple Ways to Prepare for a Big Day Ahead
Preparing the night before a big day really helps. Doing things like making a check list, setting out tomorrow’s outfits, packing lunches, and readying school backpacks will help you to get out the door fast in the morning, and with a lot less stress. Knowing that you are already prepared for the big day ahead, will also help you get a good night’s sleep.
I have some great healthy tips on preparing the night before, from Dr. Travis Stork of The Doctors, to share with you.
Dr. Travis Stork’s Tips on Having a Successful Big Day
1. Lay out your clothes the night before to help streamline your morning routine.
2. Create a “must achieve” list for the morning to help yourself stop stressing about those tasks at night, leading to a more restful night’s sleep.
3. Plan out what to have for breakfast, and nothing is easier than setting out a bowl and spoon for a quick, nutritious and tasty bowl of cereal in the morning.
4. If you’re travelling or on-the-go, making sure to pack a nutritious snack (like a baggie of cereal) in your bag to help you avoid hitting the mid-morning lull and picking something unhealthy.
It’s important to start any day with a nutritious breakfast full of protein and grains, like Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats, Special K or Raisin Bran cereal and milk. A good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast will help prepare you for not only a big day ahead, but every day.
