Slow Cooker Cowboy Chili Ingredients

1 15.5oz package Hurst BBQ Style Cowboy Beans
4 cups beef broth
2 cups water
1 lbs ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 (4oz) cans diced green chiles
2 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes
6 oz can tomato paste
Hot sauce to taste

How to Make Slow Cooker Cowboy Chili

This recipe yields a lot of chili, so you’ll need to use a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.

Rinse and sort through the dry beans. Check for any unwanted debris and discard.

Cook ground beef in a sauté pan until browned. Drain off grease.

Pour rinsed beans into slow cooker. Add the cooked beef, onion, garlic, green chiles, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, chili powder, and seasoning packet. Add a few drops of hot sauce, to taste.

Add broth and water, and give it a quick stir. Put lid on slow cooker.

  • 1 15.5 oz package Hurst BBQ Style Cowboy Beans
