This post about SONIC’s Limeades for Learning is sponsored by SONIC Drive-In. All opinions are my own.
I have so much admiration and respect for public school teachers. Honestly, I don’t know how they do it. The patience the job requires is something I personally do not have. As if wrangling a classroom of 20 or more students weren’t taxing enough, teachers also work with limited resources in many instances. Teaching is truly a labor of love.
When I was offered the opportunity to share SONIC’s Limeades for Learning 10th annual Fall Voting campaign with you, it was an easy decision for me to make. I love SONIC’s commitment to helping support public school teachers. I also like how SONIC is getting the community involved by letting us vote and help allocate its $1 million donation throughout the month of October.
About SONIC’s Limeades for Learning Initiative
Recognizing public school teachers needed more support, SONIC Drive-In partnered with DonorsChoose.org ten years ago. In 2009 SONIC launched Limeades for Learning with its first Fall Voting campaign.
Limeades for Learning® is a national award-winning initiative to support U.S. public school teachers in local communities. Since the launch of SONIC’s Limeades for Learning philanthropic campaign in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, SONIC has donated $10.4 million to public school teachers and impacted over 600,000 students nationwide to fund essential learning materials and innovative teaching resources to inspire creativity and learning in today’s youth.
Here’s how YOU can get involved:
Throughout the month of October, SONIC will distribute $1 million to public school teachers across the country. Projects with the most votes at the end of each week will receive funding, while remaining projects get a chance to be fulfilled the following week as votes roll over.
During the voting period, Monday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 28, SONIC encourages everyone to visit LimeadesForLearning.com and vote daily on specific teacher projects that inspire them.
If you are wanting to support your local schools, it is easy to search and locate projects by city, state or school district. I was excited to find quite a few teacher projects here in Central Florida. The hard part is deciding which to vote for. Luckily, I can visit LimeadesForLearning.com and vote daily to spread my support around! One of the projects I voted for will help fund iPads for math and science students and the other is a Math Mania project that will provide math manipulative to help them become mathematicians. There are so many different types of projects to choose from and ways to help.
Four ways to earn votes for teacher projects throughout the Fall Voting campaign:
1. Vote once daily after signing up with a valid email address.
2. Visit a SONIC Drive-In to get a bag sticker code worth two votes. I love having another reason to visit my local SONIC Drive-In!
3. Vote ten times to receive two extra votes via email.
4. Share on social media to earn two extra votes.
I'm excited about SONIC's Limeades for Learning initiative which helps support public school teachers! (AD) I just voted for this project in my hometown: Math & Science Students in Need! iPads! iPads! iPads! https://t.co/mTAPS319KS

You can also choose to fund the project directly through DonorsChoose.org. You even have the option to dedicate your donation to someone. I love this for a gift idea!
SONIC generously provided me with a DonorsChoose digital gift code to use at my discretion. I was able to find a project for a special need at my daughter’s elementary school, and applied the funds there. I’m so excited to be able to help her school’s music department reach their goal!
I hope you will join me and head on over to your local SONIC Drive-In or hop online to VOTE. Let’s help SONIC distribute $1 million to public school teachers across the country! Visit LimeadesForLearning.com to learn more and cast your votes.
I didn’t know about this, but I have a few teachers in the family. I’ll definitely go to Sonic for Limeades.
