Have you ever wondered if your child will be as excited as you over a holiday gift? Sometimes it’s hard to know if your child is really going to enjoy a new toy. We have partnered with Walmart for this sponsored post to help take the guess work out of buying holiday toys.
This holiday season, Walmart has taken the guess work out of gift giving with the Chosen by Kids Top 20 Toys List. Walmart asked a thousand kids to pick out the top toys of the year. Kids played with the hottest new toys from Hasbro, Mattel, Spin Master and Zing to get their thoughts and stamps of approval. The top toy list provides recommendations for kids by kids. It’s pretty genius, really.
Encourage Creativity with the Spin Master Sew Cool Sewing Machine for Kids at Walmart!
One of the toys making the top 20 list is the Spin Master Sew Cool Sewing Machine. I’m a huge fan of any toy that will encourage creativity in kids, and the Sew Cool Sewing Machine will do just that. Perfect for kids age 6 and older, this sewing machine is simple to use, and requires no thread, no foot pedal, no bobbins to wind or needles to thread.
My tween granddaughter has shown an interest in sewing, but I am not comfortable with letting her use my sewing machine just yet. The threadless sewing is a great way for her to get creative, do some fun projects, and get comfortable with using a sewing machine before taking that next step to using the real deal.
We found the machine to be very easy to use. Projects like pillows can be whipped up in a matter of minutes, using the precut characters. Budding fashionistas like my granddaughter can make a small handbag and other fun accessories. We are looking forward to downloading some of the free Sew Cool patterns and even creating some of our own. You might be wondering how the machine can sew without thread. I know I sure was when we first got this. It works with special fabrics (felt/fleece), and seems to tangle the fabric to create a seam. It’s pretty neat!
The Sew Cool Sewing Machine is going to be such a wonderful creative outlet. It isn’t one of those toys that will be forgotten after the first of the year.

I would’ve loved something like this when I was a kid! I was always crafty, but jumping into sewing using my mom’s huge sewing machine frightened me. I’ll have to mention this to my cousin, who has a girl the right age for this.
so many little ones would love this a great idea so cute

I didn’t see how much it costs. I’d rather invest in the real deal and not deal with frustrations. I had a friend who sold sewing machines and the less expensive brands ended up in the service department most of the time and the youngsters were without their machines and were frustrated with the machines. I think they need to have a quality machine without a lot of bells and whistles on them.
this is a nice item. my little one loves to sew

Oh this would be so much fun to teach young girls how to sew! Get them interested at an early age!
