There are a few things that kids are likely to associate with the St Patrick’s Day holiday – the color green, shamrocks, leprechauns, fairies, and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. These simple treat bags are a great way for kids to share the luck of the Irish with their friends. If you know me at all, you know that I like to keep things as simple and inexpensive as possible. I made this a colorful rainbow striped printable that can be paired with a snack size zipper bag. All you need are some goodies to put inside and a stapler to attach the printable to the bag.
The colors of the rainbow go from the front to the back of the bag with this printable, and includes a simple St Patrick’s Day message. Suggested goodies are Lucky Charms cereal and candies wrapped in gold foil, to represent the gold at the end of the rainbow.
Just copy and print the image below. You’ll get two per sheet. Enjoy!
Knock, knock!
Who’s there?

Oh my goodness! These are absolutely adorable!! I love printables but most are too intricate for my old printer to handles – these are perfect.
What cute ideas for St. Patrick’s Day treats! I love the mini peanut butter cups as pots of gold. Do you remember those old Fruit Stripe Gum packs? They might be a fun way to somehow add a rainbow to the treats, too, though I’d have to think about exactly how to add them. Hmm….
The gum is a great idea, even a rainbow assortment of licorice would be fun!
That’s a really good idea. So cute. I’d eat all the charms though. I love them!
I don’t normally buy sugary cereal, and was super excited to pick up a box of Lucky Charms for this! 🙂
These look fun! It’s too bad the candy makers don’t offer more St. Patrick’s Day candies…they skip right from Valentine’s Day to Easter…well, making our own baggies will be great!
I really like the Lucky Charms idea. Both fun and a healthy snack. Cute!
These are so cute! I’m going to make them with my grandson for his preschool class
I love this craft, I’m going to make it with my Brownie Troup and see how they like it. I also like using the peanut butter cups in gold wrappers. I know this idea will be passed along for a long time. Thanks for the idea.
These are so cute! I love the idea of the peanut butter cups, those are my favorite treats!
I love the look of these thanks for idea.
