How important is it for you to know where your cereal comes from? This is a question I was recently asked by Kellogg’s. I’ve always heard that cereal is the most important meal of the day. As a mom and grandma, it’s very important to me that I know where the cereal I feed my family comes from. We eat cereals made from whole grains like wheat, corn, and rice. Kellogg’s is making it simple for us to start each day right with their “seed to spoon” approach in making cereals.
Start Simple, Start Right with Kellogg’s
Cereal is easy to prepare and helps us get out of the door quickly in the morning. Choosing the right cereal can be a little tricky. There are so many sugar filled cereals available that I really have to be careful and read the labels. I often purchase Kellogg’s cereal for my family. Corn Flakes and Raisin Bran are two of our favorites. We eat cereal for breakfast, but also for a quick snack. Often, late at night I find myself craving a bowl of cereal. The Rice Krispies usually find their way into a batch of Rice Krispies Treats. I like that there is now a Gluten Free variety of Rice Krispies available. So many people I know seem to be having problems with gluten. Kellogg’s sent the following varieties for my family to enjoy:
- Kellogg’s Raisin Bran
- Kellogg’s All Bran
- Kellogg’s Corn Flakes
- Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Original
- Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Gluten Free
We already purchase these cereals on a regular basis and know how yummy they are. I feel good knowing that everyone is starting their day with simple, wholesome goodness. This infographic helps to explain Kellogg’s “seed to spoon” approach in making cereal.

From the seed to the spoon is a pretty interesting process. Being able to watch the videos helps me to feel even more confident that the cereal I am feeding my family is good for them. It’s nice to know that Kellogg’s is working so closely with farmers to make sure they are growing the highest quality grains for their cereal. I appreciate that Kellogg’s doesn’t have anything to hide and wants consumers to know exactly what they are getting in a box of cereal. It’s these little things that help me rest easier at night.
What’s your family’s favorite Kellogg’s cereal?
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

My son loves rice crispies!
Basically the only cereal we ate growing up with plain of Kelloggs and they are still my favorite to this day. Rice Krispies come in second.
I love the great variety of Kellogg’s products available. There is something for everyone in my family!
Our family loves cereal! My kids snack on it dry but I love mine doused in milk. My husband eats his dry just like the kids. Love that Kelloggs is watching the ingredients they use and creating a nutritious alternative for breakfast.
