You might be surprised to learn that chronic dehydration affects 75 percent of Americans, and most people are suffering from dehydration symptoms without even knowing it. Early warning signs include but are not limited to dry mouth, headaches, sluggishness, and increased anxiety. Believe it or not, thirst is an indication that dehydration has already set in.
When you are sick it is very important to stay hydrated. This is something I have learned all too well this winter, after a couple of yucky colds and most recently a stomach virus which passed to each member of my family. It was just last month when I had my turn with the stomach bug, and was rather sick for a couple of days. I didn’t realize the toll it had taken on me until I went grocery shopping and found myself feeling hot, dizzy, and like I was walking through a fog. I spent years in the medical profession and even I didn’t recognize the signs of dehydration early enough. I seriously wish I had been introduced to Drip Drop oral rehydration solution (ORS) before that afternoon.
Drip Drop oral rehydration solution allows you to quickly treat dehydration. Drip Drop helps you recover from sweating, vomiting and the results of the stomach flu. I just heard on the news the other night that this terrible flu season we have had is going to last longer than expected.
You never know when illness is going to strike. Since Drip Drop can be stored in it’s dry packet form, you can be sure to have it on hand when you need it. Drip Drop is available in powder form, in small packets which dissolve quickly in a glass of water. This makes it easy to slip into a diaper bag, purse, or even the car. Dehydration can be caused by excessive sweating, so before heading to the gym or taking that walk you can sprinkle Drip Drop right into your water bottle.
One of the things I like about Drip Drop, is that it can be used by children, adults and seniors. In a multi-gen family like mine, it’s nice when the youngest and the oldest family member in the house can take the same treatment.
Did I mention that Drop Drop tastes great? My family has tried both the Natural Berry and Natural Lemon Flavors and they are really good. I think I might like the berry flavor a little too much. Luckily, an adult can consume up to 8 packets per day as needed.
If you think that a sports drink is good enough when you are sick, think again. Drip Drop has 2-3 times the electrolytes and ½ the calories of a sports drink. Be sure to have Drip Drop on hand for the next time you or a family member gets sick. I know that I will. It’s conveniently available to purchase online from the Drip Drop website. Staying properly hydrated will help speed the recovery process.

Switchel is a great energy drink, full of vitamin C, also provides needed minerals, better than the glow in the dark chemical stuff known as “Gator Ade”: Mix one pint fresh apple cider with 1 cup black strap molasses, 1/4 cup cider vinegar and 1/4 cup ground ginger, wisk until fully blended, slowly pour 1/2 gallon of filtered water into mixture. This can be poured into any large water cooler or punch bowl. Some add more water, but that’s optional.
