Make Your Own Sugary Coconut Coffee Scrub

Sugary coconut coffee scrub

Have you noticed that the older you get, the more your skin needs exfoliating? I do not worry about too many beauty products. I have a few that I love and always use but most of the new ones come and go without so much as a second look from me. One thing I can’t live without is a good sugary coffee scrub. I use to spend a fortune on coffee scrubs and sugar scrubs. When I looked at how much I was spending on different scrubs, I decide it was time to try a DIY coffee scrub. I drink enough coffee so making use to have some left over coffee grinds is never a problem in my house. For those who might not drink coffee often, this coffee scrub recipe is easy because it uses just 1 cup worth. For someone who doesn’t use a single serve pod, 2 tablespoons should come close.

Making your own sugar scrubs and coffee scrubs are easy. They mix together quickly and can save you a lot of money. Scrubs also make great gifts for teachers, mother’s or just a pick me up for a friend.

about ½ cup sugar

Directions:
1. Start with a used Kcup. Allow the Kcup to cool completely before carefully peeling back the foil top and scooping out the grinds.

2. Add the grinds to a small dish along with the soft coconut oil and sugar. Stir until well combined.
3. Enjoy right away while in a hot shower or save for up to two weeks. Coconut oil hardens in cooler temperatures.  If this happens, simply scoop some out with your hands and let it soften for a few seconds before working into your skin.
