Summer break is in full swing, but there is still a ton of fun to be had at Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium is located just a couple of hours from Augusta, and I try to get there with my family as often as I can. Most recently, I visited the aquarium with my son and his girlfriend.
One of the things I love about Georgia Aquarium is that it’s fun for all ages. Parent, grandparents, big kids and little kids all enjoy the exhibits. Sidney and Anna had an absolute blast during our recent visit.
Like with most summer activities, it can get a little crowded during the summer months. Don’t let the crowds scare you off though! Just be sure to plan ahead and schedule a full day if you can.
Ways to Enhance Your Summer Experience at Georgia Aquarium:
• Experience Imagination Nights: Starting June 1, guests who visit the Aquarium between 5 – 8 p.m. can experience all of the Aquarium’s galleries with fewer crowds for only $24.95. This is also the first time ever that a special AT&T Dolphin Tales late show will be included in Imagination Nights!
• Meet an aquatic animal up close and personal: Guests won’t have to travel far from home to experience a personal encounter with aquatic animals from around the world. Guests can go behind the scenes and enjoy an exclusive personal experience with one of our aquatic animals through a Georgia Aquarium animal encounter or animal interactive program.
• Dive In Movie: On July 25, 2015, Georgia Aquarium will host a “Dive In Movie” on the top level of the parking deck with a showing of a family friendly movie the fourth Saturday of each month this summer. On July 25, 2015 see Disney’s “Home”, rated PG.
• Protect our oceans: When guests visit Georgia Aquarium they are helping to protect the ocean and its inhabitants. Georgia Aquarium strives to educate guests about the importance of sustainable seafood, the different ways that trash impacts our oceans and the animals that live there, and how you can help reduce the amount of harmful materials that enter our oceans.
