I was recently traveling by air with my 11 year old niece Maddie. Throughout our 4 1/2 hour flight Maddie kept busy by tracking our progress across the country. Kids get bored so easily while traveling and it’s hard to find things that will hold their attention for long periods of time. National Geographic offers 2 fun, interactive books that will make your next road trip with the kids a breeze!
We received The Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas and National Parks Guide U.S.A. books to review. Both books are a lot of fun to read whether you are on a road trip or planning your next family vacation. If you are homeschooling, these books would make a great edition to your Geography curriculum. I love books like these that are both fun to read and educational.
The Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas contains maps, games, interesting facts and boredom busters (who can spot the wackiest road sign??) to make your next journey an adventure to remember. Every state is featured and includes a map of the state, 5 cool things to do there, fun facts about the state and the animals that live there and even quirky roadside attractions. And, in case this comes in handy, helpful traffic laws you won’t believe (who knew you couldn’t drive any skunks INTO Tennessee??). We even learned some neat things about our home state of Georgia in this book. Who would have thought Georgia was home to the Lunch Box Museum?
If you’re trying to decide which of our country’s amazing national parks to visit, NG Kids, together with the National Park Trust, has created National Parks Guide U.S.A. Broken down into regions of the country, this handy guide has all you need to make your visit to these treasured parks an experience your family will never forget. You’ll get handy ranger tips, learn about the animals you can expect to see, where to find the best views, and much more. We found some parks that we didn’t even know about!
Make your next journey an adventure to remember!
Grab a copy of National Parks Guide U.S.A. and mark your calendar for May 19th — National Kids to Parks Day. The National Park Trust and their mascot Buddy Bison wants everyone to have an American park experience and invites every family in America to visit a national, state or local park on this special day.

I love these! I wish we’d had them on our flights. My daughter was bored and would have loved learning all about the states we were flying over. I’ll have to get these before our next trip this summer.
That’ s really cool! I’d love to have something like that for Canada.
I would love to have this for my twin Nephew and Niece. They are 5 years old and eager to learn different states and places. They have done some traveling already. Thanks:)
thanks for the giveaway
