Happy Monday! I am so excited kick off the week by announcing my continued partnership with Alamo as a Chief Travel Mom (CTM). I absolutely love traveling, especially with my family. Having already enjoyed many adventures with my son, as a single Mom, I am happy to have also passed the travel bug on to my two nieces. Going on vacation with tweens and teens is an adventure in itself!
Having new experiences and seeing new places is great, but it’s the family bonding time that I love the most about family travel. Planning and taking family vacations seemed daunting at times, especially as a single parent, but please don’t let that stop you. I wouldn’t trade those experiences and special moments for anything.
Last summer we included the family pets on our beach vacation. Traveling with pets posed a whole new set of challenges, and took some extra planning. It was totally worth it though!
Alamo, myself, and fellow Chief Travel Moms are taking family travel to the next level. We want to help you go beyond basic family travel, and create the kinds of experiences that you and your kids will remember forever. I will be working with a couple of the other Chief Travel Moms to focus on “Navigating Mom Problems” and providing solutions to family travel issues. Some of the CTMs are what you would call “Laughing Moms” and they’ll be celebrating the funny moments of family travel. We also have “Moms for Moms” who will help connect you with other travel-loving Moms and show how travel can increase family bonding.
Beginning this holiday season and through the summer of next year, I look forward to chatting with you about the challenges that come with family travel, ways to overcome those challenges, and of course the many benefits of traveling with your family.
Before you touchdown at the airport, be sure you have signed up to be an Alamo Insider for an additional 5% off of Alamo’s (already low) prices. Follow #AlamoDriveHappy and @Alamo on Twitter for travel tips and special announcements from myself and the other CTMs!
Happy Travels!

It sounds like it’s going to be a great year, especially since we’re starting it off with a trip to Vegas, Cheers for the year ahead!
I am so looking forward to our Mom’s Vegas trip, Liz! It’s going to be the perfect way for us to kick off the new year!
I will have to check this out as I live near LaGuardia Airport and there isn’t a location there. I will be traveling soon as my in laws are moving to Florida and there is a location at the Orlando Int’l Airport. Love that I can save $$ by being an Alamo Insider.
I’m so excited for you gals! What a cool experience. And it’ll be nice to hear about rental car companies from a fellow mom!
That sounds like great fun. Travel stories, although dramatic at the time, make for the best laughs and the best memories.
This is so cool. I’m looking forward to following your travels with Alamo! We need some road trip inspiration.
I look forward to your travels!! And who knew that you could get an extra 5% off for being an Alamo Insider? Gotta do that!
Oh, I can’t wait to live vicariously through your travels! Sounds like a fun year ahead!
Family Travel can be very difficult to manage and I look forward to your posts on how to help me with this. I need help with some road trip advice!
I can’t wait to hear about your travels! I am hoping to travel more next year.
I love to hear about others’ travel experiences! We love to travel but of course things don’t always go as planned. I appreciate when we can look back and laugh at the unexpected happenings that take place when traveling!
oh, BOY, that sounds like an awesome year ahead for you! My family and I love to travel – for us, the experience is more important to us than STUFF. Have SO much fun!
I’m looking forward to a trip this weekend and next. Sounds like you have a great year coming to you!
I can’t wait to read all the Alamo Mom articles. Especially the “laughing mom” ones.
Now this sounds exciting. Can’t wait to hear more.
You’ve got a really cool gig! It sounds like tons of fun.
Congratulations! I am very excited for you. We love traveling too, just have not been able to this year due to money. We certainly hope to do some traveling next year though!
Sounds like some great adventures in your future. Enjoy and be safe.
Sounds like lots of fun!! Congrats! So exciting and I’m sure you’ll have lots of adventures ahead!
Sounds like you have some fun stories planned. Good luck in the upcoming year.
I look forward to reading all about how to make family travel easier. We haven’t traveled much but hope to start making regular trips soon so this is perfect timing.
I can’t wait to see what you guys get up to and read all about your adventures! Best of luck and safe travels!
That’s nice that you get a discount being an Alamo Insider. Family travel is one of my most favorite things in the world.
This will be great! I can’t wait to see what you have coming up for us!
Have fun on your Mom’s Trip to Vegas! What goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas…but dont forget to sneak some stuff on the blog!
Thanks Kiwi! I certainly will.
I’m all about saving money! I’m going to check out Alamo and see if I can get some more info.
I’m excited for you all! I hope you have tons of fun and remember to write all about it and keep us up to date :D!
I am so excited for you! This sounds like fun, but who doesn’t love traveling!
Sounds like so much fun! I don’t travel as much as I’d like to.
There are so many challenges when traveling with a family. We flew to Orlando and took the whole family to Disney World a few weeks ago. We had to stay so organized and it seemed pretty chaotic at times. Looking forward to your tips in the coming year.
Congrats on your continued partnership! We are traveling to Disneyland on Thursday and it will be our first road trip with a baby this young {9 months old) so I could use any advice you have!
anxious to hear about your travels, with the holidays coming up and of course school breaks it will be interesting to read about how other moms handle traveling with children and teens! We go to Guatemala every year, and while my daughter isn’t too bad, I see other parents who struggle terribly with their little ones in the airport.
That is so wonderful! I enjoy traveling with family every chance I get. 🙂
What a great partnership. When I travel, its usually close by so I drive my own car. I have never rented a car before.
Can’t wait to read about your solutions! I love family travel!
Next time I rent a car I will checkout Alamo. Have FUN!
I would love to go traveling with my family. It would be great to have some unique experiences.
I will have to keep Alamo in mind when I plan my next traveling trip. Sounds like a great way to save money!
Traveling is definitely on my list for next year. I will look at Alamo when I do
I’m excited to read more about your travels. We travel a lot with the kids and I’m always looking for tips to make our travels easier!
I can’t wait to hear about all the destinations you reach. Some of my best memories are taking yearly road trips with my parents and brother. Stories and laughs I’ll never forget.
I’ve just discovered I want to travel! Congrats to you and all your travels!
How exciting!! Traveling is what I love. I’m super excited to move to Georgia and travel around.
Road trips are so much fun, way better than flying, in my opinion. Traveling is something we like to do when going on vacation.
It sounds exciting! We love traveling.
I want to travel with my family. We don’t have the money but hopefully some day we will.
Memories making while traveling are definitely some of the best. The stories you have to tell, they are priceless!
I wish my cat would travel! he gets a little panicky just going to the vet, so for all of our sanity, I think I’ll leave him at home 🙂
Sounds exciting. Great Review! Safe Travels
