Happy Monday! I am so excited kick off the week by announcing my continued partnership with Alamo as a Chief Travel Mom (CTM). I absolutely love traveling, especially with my family. Having already enjoyed many adventures with my son, as a single Mom, I am happy to have also passed the travel bug on to my two nieces. Going on vacation with tweens and teens is an adventure in itself!
Having new experiences and seeing new places is great, but it’s the family bonding time that I love the most about family travel. Planning and taking family vacations seemed daunting at times, especially as a single parent, but please don’t let that stop you. I wouldn’t trade those experiences and special moments for anything.
Last summer we included the family pets on our beach vacation. Traveling with pets posed a whole new set of challenges, and took some extra planning. It was totally worth it though!
Alamo, myself, and fellow Chief Travel Moms are taking family travel to the next level. We want to help you go beyond basic family travel, and create the kinds of experiences that you and your kids will remember forever. I will be working with a couple of the other Chief Travel Moms to focus on “Navigating Mom Problems” and providing solutions to family travel issues. Some of the CTMs are what you would call “Laughing Moms” and they’ll be celebrating the funny moments of family travel. We also have “Moms for Moms” who will help connect you with other travel-loving Moms and show how travel can increase family bonding.
Beginning this holiday season and through the summer of next year, I look forward to chatting with you about the challenges that come with family travel, ways to overcome those challenges, and of course the many benefits of traveling with your family.
Before you touchdown at the airport, be sure you have signed up to be an Alamo Insider for an additional 5% off of Alamo’s (already low) prices. Follow #AlamoDriveHappy and @Alamo on Twitter for travel tips and special announcements from myself and the other CTMs!
Happy Travels!
This post was created in collaboration with Alamo.
anxious to hear about your travels, with the holidays coming up and of course school breaks it will be interesting to read about how other moms handle traveling with children and teens! We go to Guatemala every year, and while my daughter isn’t too bad, I see other parents who struggle terribly with their little ones in the airport.
That is so wonderful! I enjoy traveling with family every chance I get. 🙂
What a great partnership. When I travel, its usually close by so I drive my own car. I have never rented a car before.
Can’t wait to read about your solutions! I love family travel!
Next time I rent a car I will checkout Alamo. Have FUN!
I would love to go traveling with my family. It would be great to have some unique experiences.
I will have to keep Alamo in mind when I plan my next traveling trip. Sounds like a great way to save money!
Traveling is definitely on my list for next year. I will look at Alamo when I do
I’m excited to read more about your travels. We travel a lot with the kids and I’m always looking for tips to make our travels easier!
I can’t wait to hear about all the destinations you reach. Some of my best memories are taking yearly road trips with my parents and brother. Stories and laughs I’ll never forget.
