I strive to raise up responsible and self sufficient children. Responsibility and strong work ethic is not something I can rely on the school system for. Learning responsibility starts at home, the earlier the better. I have always tried to lead by example and display a strong work ethic in our home, but have found for children learning comes from doing. As busy moms we need tools to make teaching these valuable lessons a bit easier. After all, keeping track of your kids chores and earned rewards can become a chore itself. That’s where My Job Chart comes into the picture. My Job Chart is a free, easy to use, online chore chart and reward system for teaching, organizing and motivating your kids to Save, Share and Spend responsibly. The free online service, My Job Chart, allows parents to easily assign chores, track the completion of those chores, and provide rewards based on points earned.

How it works

You create a job chart and assign different point values to each task and a total point worth to each reward. You can create your own tasks or choose from an already available list. The rewards don’t have to be monetary. You can choose rewards like a trip to the zoo or an extra hour of video games.

As chores are completed, your kids can log in to the system and check them off on the job chart. They can easily see and track points they have earned and when they have enough points, they can choose an award. Your kids can cash out early on something small or save up their points for a larger reward. I really love how this will motivate them to work harder. There is even an option to set up “share rewards” so your child can opt to donate some of their points to charity.
