Have you ever gone overboard to help support your child’s dreams and wishes? Those moments of extreme parenting can be rather humorous to look back on. We sometimes to go great lengths to make our kids happy. I remember all the times I put myself out there as mosquito bait during my son’s football practice 5 nights per week. He loved playing football. I hated everything about it, except the joy it gave him. Then there’s that time I bought a dozen over-priced candy bars from T’s school fundraiser, then threw them all away. All so she could earn that crappy 25 cent key chain. What does an 8 year old need a key chain for anyways?
Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) take this sort of thing to the extreme in the new movie THE HOUSE – in Theaters June 30. They would do (and do) pretty much anything to make sure their daughter gets to attend her dream college. I laughed so much watching the THE HOUSE trailer and know you will too. As a parent, I totally get it. Plus, with Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler you know it’s going to be one of those laugh out loud movies.
On June 30th, this house is open for business!
About THE HOUSE
After Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) lose their daughter Alex’s college fund, they become desperate to earn it back so she can pursue her dream of attending a university. With the help of their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), they decide to start an illegal casino in his house.
The comedy “The House” also stars Nick Kroll (“Vacation,” TV’s “Kroll Show”), Allison Tolman (TV’s “Fargo”), Michaela Watkins (TV’s “Transparent”), Ryan Simpkins (“Arcadia”), Jessie Ennis (TV’s “Veep” and “Better Call Saul”), Rob Huebel (“Horrible Bosses 2,” TV’s “Transparent”), Cedric Yarbrough (TV’s “Reno 911!”) and Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (“The Town,” “The Hurt Locker,” “Arrival”).
This movie is Rated R.
I’m really looking forward to seeing THE HOUSE on June 30th! How about you?

My cousin and I are due for a night out. Thetefore this would be perfect following our chips and dips.
With one done and another in college, I NEED this prize. We’re broke! The movie looks hilarious. 🙂
I would just enjoy a night out – it doesn’t have to be too wild! I’d enjoy a nice movie and dinner date.
I would love to spend a night out with my husband, and a couple of our friends. We rarely get a chance to go out together, so pretty much anything we do would seem wild. Ha!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I would take my boyfriend out for a nice date night.
My husband would join me. We’d probably just grab dinner before, nothing crazy.
I would love to take my boyfriend to this movie. We live walking distance to our downtown with the movie theater, restaurants and bars, so we could go out for dinner and a movie. If we’re feeling really wild, we could even stop for cocktails after the movie.
I would take my sister, she and I love Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell! So funny!
My husband and I are going for date night.
