Kids say and do the funniest things, often at the most inopportune time or place. Some interesting and laughable things are said and done when little ones are in the bathroom.
My youngest daughter was terrified of the bathtub drain. She was convinced that she was going to be sucked down the drain, along with the water. For many years I had to wait until she was out of the bathroom before letting the water out. It didn’t stop with the bathtub either, her same theory applied to the toilet. I had to wait until she was finished going potty and had left the bathroom, before I could flush. She was in grade school before she would flush the toilet herself. I can’t help but chuckle when I think about those days.
I’m sure you know someone who sings in the shower, maybe even yourself. Do you know anyone who sings on the toilet? My son was a notorious toilet singer. In elementary school, the classrooms were set up in pods with the bathrooms adjacent to the classroom. I will never forget when my son’s teacher called to let me know about his toilet serenades to the classroom. I was so embarassed! That was one habit I didn’t think we would ever break.
Do you have a funny bathroom story to share?

I don’t have a funny bathroom story… My husband practically lives in there so that leaves very little opportunity for anything funny to happen in there :/
LOL! I’m sure your husband would love to know you shared that!
OMG this is hilarious! He will KILL ME for saying this on here but my 14 1/2 year old son sings in the tub. He thinks hes American Idols next Scotty McCreery! If Ive heard “Baby lock the door and turn the lights down low……. ” coming from my bathroom once Ive heard it a zillion times! haha!! He was in the tub singing his heart out once & while he was in there some family came over. We were all sitting in the livingroom & could hear him singing away. When he got out of the bathroom & walked in the livingroom and seen his Aunt, uncle & female teenage cousins sitting there his face turned so red I thought he would die… My BIL broke the tension by belting out “Baby lock the door and turn the lights down low…..!” We all burst out laughing so hard that I was crying! He was so embarrassed!. It hasnt stopped him from singing in the tub but I have noticed he does ask if anyone is coming over before he goes to take a bath. haha!
That is so funny! Thank goodness he didn’t have any friends stop by unexpectedly.
Haha, I think lots of kids have the ‘being sucked down the drain’ fear at some point. None of my girls really had it with the tub but the toilet flushing was something my middle daughter wasn’t fond of. This sounds like a hilarious competition from Clorox.
My son Lucas, has an interesting bathroom habit. He sits with his feet perched up on the toilet seat when he is doing his business.I discovered this by accident one day, since he is Autistic we constantly check on him(and he LOVES) playing with water. After I first made this discovery I told my husband and we both cracked up over it!
That is so cute!
LOL– we went through the samething with the toilet– with 2 of the little guys–they are so fun when they are little
LOL that’s too funny. and my son has no such fears- he is sad for the water
I am actually in and out of the shower too quick for anything else, or else I am in with the youngest, but all mt kids sing (or try) in the shower.
I live with my siblings, so I always hear someone singing in the shower when I walk passed the bathroom. It’s funny!
My middle was taking a bath and I came in to check on her and the water was bright blue. She apparently decided her feet looked better painted magic marker blue. Boy she scrubbed that tub that night.
Oh my! That’s very funny!
This is really, as they used to say “funny peculiar, not funny ha-ha”, but I know of an older woman who long ago saw the movie Psycho when it was new and ever since she is afraid of taking a shower. She has to have the door open and the shower curtain open when she takes one. Makes it interesting if anyone else is in the house, I guess.
