I realize we are all in back to school mode, but there’s still time for that end of summer vacation. Making a visit to a neighboring city for the weekend is a great way to get the most out of a summer vacation. Since weekend getaways are a short trip, they don’t require much planning and that’s a big plus. Take advantage of local hotels and attractions for your end of summer fun!
One last weekend getaway to enjoy the hotel pool and area attractions is just what my family needs to end the summer right! We recently enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Embassy Suites in Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park for a weekend and had an amazing time. The hotel is located across the street from the Georgia Aquarium and near a lot of great restaurants, so we were able to park the car for the weekend and truly kick back and enjoy ourselves. These conveniences make our Embassy Suites in Atlanta the perfect hotel for family end of summer vacation fun.
End of Summer Vacation
According to Dr. Susan Biali who wrote the book “Live a Life You Love: 7 Steps to a Healthier, Happier, More Passionate You”, a 3 day vacation stay is helpful in order to get the most ‘relaxation’ for the money! She also recommends that you make your budget go further by staying in a hotel that provides amenities to make your vacation more enjoyable.
There’s Still Time for That End of Summer Vacation
Our Embassy Suites had many family friendly amenities such as the on-site restaurant, spacious 2 room suite, swimming pool, continental breakfast, and more. Our 2 room suite included two 32 inch flat screen televisions and a living area filled with comfy furniture. It was nice to have a small refrigerator and microwave in the room, since the kids stocked up on drinks and snacks from the on site store. These little things really make a difference for families.

Do you have plans for an end of summer vacation?
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in an Ambassador Program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Embassy Suites Hotels and received a one-night complimentary stay at an Embassy Suites Hotel to facilitate my reviews and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
I love Embassy Suites! It’s a great place to get away! Thanks for sharing a reminder of how important those last minute vacations can be:-)
I’ve never heard of embassy Suites before, but I will definitely put them on my list of places to look at for the next time we go on vacation!
There is *always* time for vacation! I will always put making lasting memories with my family above all else 🙂
I love Embassy Suites too! Looking for a quick getaway before school ends!
I would LOVE to have a vacation before summer ends. We had talked about family camping but I don’t like going right before school because then the kids end up going to school covered in bug bites. Now a hotel, that’s another story LOL.
It looks like you had a ton of fun! We love Embassy Suites.
I saw that hotel when went to the Aquarium last year. It looked really nice and expensive on the outside. I think when we went to the aquarium we went on the wrong day because it was packed and hot in there and alot of fun for us.
I never heard of Embassy Suites but it sounds like a nice and clean place to stay when traveling.
