A few weeks ago I shared how my family likes to make weekend breakfast special. Starting the day together over breakfast is so nice, and something we don’t always get to do during the busy week. Weekends are a time to kick back and relax. I’m glad to partner with Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls once again, to elaborate on that earlier blog post and share ways to kick back, relax and enjoy the weekend.
Eat meals together.
I spent the better part of last week traveling and got home late Saturday night. The last thing I wanted to do on Sunday morning was make a big fuss over breakfast. Fortunately, I usually have some help in the kitchen on the weekends.
Enlisting the kids to help with mealtime preparation is a great way to have family time and lighten your workload in the process. Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls are so fun for kids to make.
Eating meals together on the weekend is so important for my family.
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls are often at the heart of weekend breakfast. From the delicious icing on top, to the Cinnabon cinnamon and the ooey, gooey center – cinnamon rolls are the ultimate weekend breakfast indulgence. I love how they fill the house with the instantly recognizable sweet smell of cinnamon as they bake.
Doesn’t this look like a great to start the weekend?
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls are something I always have on hand. They are great whether you have a busy day ahead or just want something a little extra special for breakfast.
I can never resist licking my fingers after eating one of these. That glaze topping is the best!
Here are some more ideas to help you kick back and relax on the weekend:
Have a Netflix marathon or pull out your favorite Disney DVDs.
I chatted with my sister briefly this past Saturday and learned that she and her son were snuggled up on the couch having a Netflix marathon. Sometimes that is the perfect way to spend the day after a long, hard week.
Get some extra snuggle time in the morning.
Speaking of snuggling, grabbing the family and staying in bed for some extra snuggle time is the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Those hugs and giggles are good for the soul.
Turn off all electronics.
If a Netflix marathon isn’t your thing, try turning off all electronics for the day. Spend that time playing board games, crafting and having fun outdoors. You can really be present in the moment without the distraction of your mobile phone and laptop.

Great ideas for relaxing on the weekends. Making cinnamon rolls is a great way to start off the day!
This sounds like a really warm relaxing way to spend the weekend,t hanks for the suggestion!
Mmm, cinnamon rolls! I like to lay in bed and watch movies on the weekend.
Usually on the weekends, hubby and relax watching football, then we cook together. We pick out a new recipe, have some wine, turn up the music and have fun! 🙂
We actually have some of these in our refrigerator. My daughter is having a friend over later, maybe we’ll make these. 🙂
Those look awesome they are making me hungry.
We love cinnamon roll ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT.
It is so important to make time together as a family a priority, and I’m glad you are showing how easy it is to do this with weekend breakfast!
One thing I do is cook bacon on Friday night ( look up cooking bacon in the oven for a painless way to do so). THen on Saturday morning all I have to do is fry some eggs, warm the bacon and serve with fresh fruit.
It always gets the weekend off to a good start.
These look great right now. I think i will relax with a good book and some of these tonight.
