Leaving a life of domestic violence is a series of moment-by-moment decisions. A decision to be Brave and Strong, no longer a victim. They are decisions that you do not have to make alone.
Brave Woman is an organization working to change personal and public perception of women facing domestic violence situations from a victim mentality to one of courage and strength. Brave Woman wants every woman and child to have the supportive resources they need to live without fear. I remember the feelings of fear, isolation, helplessness and inadequacy. It seems like so long ago to me. I am glad to say that I am a Brave Woman.
