Is there a charitable organization or need in your community that could use a little help? Perhaps, to the tune of $25,000? Yup. You read that right. You could win 25K for your cause through Turbana’s new Facebook contest!
Turbana Corporation, a leading importer of tropical produce in North America, has a long history of giving back to the community. They were the first organization to bring Fair Trade Certified bananas to North America and are pioneers in sustainability and social consciousness. Turbana’s social movement “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” is encouraging the community to speak up and choose causes close to their own hearts and homes through the 25K For Your Cause initiative.
Let your voice be heard! One of the things I really love about this contest is that the community has complete control over what causes are nominated and who wins. Through August 11, 2014 you can visit the Turbana Facebook Page, where the contest is hosted, to nominate your own cause and to vote for which cause you think should win $25,000. The organization that receives the most votes by the end of the month-long voting period will be awarded a $25,000 sponsorship from Turbana, and the corporation will partner with them to instate new community programs.

Turbana’s “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” movement has helped spark initiatives such as “New Smiles for Uraba,” “One Laptop Per Child,” and the “International Sister School Garden Exchange,” among many others. Turbana hopes their own enthusiasm and passion for community involvement will inspire people like you and me to participate in giving back to our communities. 25K For Your Cause is the perfect opportunity to do just that!
Here’s your chance to speak up, take action, and create a big impact! Either nominate a cause of your choice, or vote for a cause that has already been nominated.
What cause would you nominate or vote for to win 25K?
