Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Apple Cider Ham

This flavorful cider braised ham, with a honey and brown sugar glaze, is simply prepared in a Crock-Pot® slow cooker. Slow Cooker Apple Cider Ham is perfect for your holiday dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 to 6 pound fully cooked bone-in ham 4 cups apple cider divided 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon ground cloves 1 whole orange, quartered ½ cup brown sugar, packed ¾ cup honey

Instructions
 

  • Place ham into a 6 quart or larger Crock-Pot slow cooker.
  • In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, add 2 cups of the apple cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Stir to combine. Pour over the ham.
  • Place pieces of orange around sides of the ham.
  • Combine brown sugar and honey in a small saucepan. Heat over low, stirring, until sugar is melted. Pour or brush over the ham.
  • Add additional 2 cups of apple cider to the slow cooker, being careful to not pour over the ham and wash away the honey and brown sugar.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours.
  • Remove ham from the slow cooker, slice and enjoy.
