Best Ever Spaghetti Pie Recipe
Calling all spaghetti lovers! You're going to love this spaghetti recipe with a twist. Spaghetti Pie has long been one of my family's most go to meals for dinner. Spaghetti pie is a kid-pleasing meal that is simple enough to whip up on a busy weeknight. Essentially, this is a cheesy baked spaghetti that is made in a pie dish or round cake pan.
- 4 ounces uncooked dried spaghetti
- ½ pound bulk Italian Sausage or ground beef
- 1 cup prepared spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¾ cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions and drain.
Meanwhile, in a skillet brown the sausage or ground beef, drain off fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce.
Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.
In a medium bowl stir together the sour cream, ½ cup mozzarella cheese and egg; stir in spaghetti.
Place the spaghetti mixture into a 9 inch pie pan, sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese, and spread sausage/beef mixture over entire surface.
Cover with foil and cook 25 to 35 minutes until heated through.
Remove foil and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Cool for 10 minutes and cut into wedges.
