You are AMAZING! Read on to see why. This inspiring conversation has been sponsored by Lean Cuisine.
Last week I shared this thought provoking video from Lean Cuisine:
Lean Cuisine’s new campaign talks about what really matters. They ask a simple question:
What do you wish people would ‘weigh’ you on besides your weight?
When people look at me, I don’t want them to see my weight, age or anything else that doesn’t matter. Instead, I want them to see a woman who is not afraid and goes for what she wants. I always wanted to do something in the medical field. Going back to school after so many years was intimidating, but I pushed through it and am so proud of myself for doing it. I think I look pretty great in my scrubs.
I shared my full response to Lean Cuisine’s question in this blog post and asked you to weigh in on the conversation. The feedback I got from all of you here on the blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram was amazing. YOU are amazing!
Your kind words and support mean so much to me, and I loved hearing what’s important to you. You are all so accomplished, caring and loving. You should be weighed on all of those things and more. I said I would be following up and sharing your answers to the question “What do you wish people would ‘weigh’ you on besides your weight?”
Since there were so many heartfelt answers, I have randomly chosen some to share below:
What do you wish people would ‘weigh’ you on besides your weight?
I wish people would weigh me on my humor, my giving ways, my honesty, and how great of a mom I am with my kids. – Nicole
My mind, my talents, my knowledge would be much better options than my physical weight. That should never define a person. – Debbie
I wish people would “weigh” me for my personality and my ability to be a good friend. – Pam
My work ethic and how much I love my family and friends. – Pam
I would love to be weighed on my determination. – Jeannette
Weigh me on my ability of being a multitasker – handling kids, family and career all at the same time! – Debra
Being a woman in todays world is tough. We are ‘weighed’ on more than we should be – perhaps if everyone could just see us for women instead of how we look, dress or weigh. – Teresa
I wish they would weigh my heart and not go by appearances. – Lindsey
After years of trying to lose weight I have finally accepted my body and I am happier. People should weigh me for all the good, bad and hard experiences I have gone through. – Babita
I would weigh my faithfulness (that’s heavy!) – Shelley
I wish people would weigh me based on my kids. I’m proud of the job I’ve done with all five of my boys. – Jasmine
Some of you even said that you don’t care what other people think and don’t want to be weighed on anything.
You all have so many wonderful qualities and inspire me so much. You are amazing! It’s not to late too ‘weigh in’. Please leave a comment below. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I have been battling my weight since I was a kid and it has been a tough rode for me. I wish people would stop focusing on my gains , losses and gains again and focus on me. Me, the kind-hearted, giving, powerful survivor with a voice loud enough to do something great in this world.
I loved reading trough everyone’s comments. There are so many things to pride ourselves on, and it’s different for every person.
You are highlighting some truly amazing women. There are so many important things to be weighed upon. Weight is so unimportant.
I like to think that I am fairly intelligent. I wish people would weigh in more about that than my weight. I know that I am not really overweight or anything, but the judgement that comes when you gain a few pounds is pretty harsh. Look elsewhere and you will find that I am pretty smart!
I wish people could see your personality before your looks. It is so important to not judge a book by its cover.
I really want people to weigh in on my humor and creativity! I wish we could!
Love this, it’s so hard for people to pay attention to people’s personality these days. Society is so confused.
I would like people to take me more seriously. What a great video that lean cuisine did.
Love that video! We’re all so much more than what we look like.
I just love this whole campaign. Life is definitely about more than numbers on a scale (or any other superficial thing).
