Lately, I have been having trouble sleeping. Like most parents I worry too much. When I lay down to fall asleep so many different things are running through my head. I worry about everything, and it seems to be worse when I have to get up early for something. It never fails, if I set the alarm clock early and have somewhere to be first thing – I am sure to lay awake restless all night. Now thanks to ZzzQuil I can get to sleep fast.

ZzzQuil is the only over-the-counter sleep-aid medication available in both a pill and liquid form. I don’t normally purchase liquid medications for myself, but I did try the liquid ZzzQuil and have to admit that I didn’t really mind the warming berry flavor at all. ZzzQuil did exactly what it was supposed to. It helped me to fall asleep fast and stay asleep. I even put it to the ultimate test and took it the night before I had to get up at 5:00 AM to catch an early flight. I am always nervouse before traveling, and it was such a relief to get a good nights sleep. I do need to say that it’s important that you take ZzzQuil when you have time to get a good nights sleep, otherwise you will wake up feeling groggy. I wouldn’t recommend taking it if you only have a few hours to catch some Zzzs. It contains the active ingredient diphenhydramine HCI that helps reduce the time it takes for you to fall asleep.
As a parent I do want to caution you – as with any drug, be sure to keep ZzzQuil out of children’s reach. The liquid is purple which might be appealing to kids. ZzzQuil is inteneded only for adults and children 12 years of age and older.

I’ve seen this in the stores but never tried it.
As an added bonus, if you suffer from seasonal allergies like so many of us at this time of year (a-choo!), this will ease your symptoms, as it is an antihistamine. Good deal! And non-habit-forming, too.
I need to pick up this for my sister. She is in her early 60’s and not sure if it’s after her long night working as a nurse or what but when she gets home, she has so many nights where she just cannot sleep. Maybe this would at least get her schedule regulated so she won’t be so exhausted all the time. That is a horrible feeling to not be able to sleep then know you have work after that.
We love this! My husband takes it all the time when he is traveling and his schedule gets messed up. It helps him get back on track without making him groggy. It actually doesn’t taste bad either. 🙂
I like that it’s non-habit forming but no matter what I can’t take NyQuil! It’s that incredibly strong flavor that burns all the way down into your stomach! Pill format is much better.
I’ve never taken anything to help me fall asleep. I can thank three kids for that 😉
Once I’ve stopped nursing, I’m going to have to try this. Even on my nights “off” when I get to sleep in, I’m always up and can’t sleep.
Thankfully I don’t have trouble sleeping but with so many friends who do, I’ll be sure to pass this info along.
As we age, our bodies lose Melatonin. To help me sleep, I use a pill cutter and cut one Melatonin in four (4) pieces. One tiny piece is enough to help me drift off with out any side effects or habit forming medicines. I am glad the ZZquil works for you, but you might also try in the vitamin department some Melatonin.
Since I blelieve the diphenhydramine is an antihistramine this will also help you with allergies. I have found that melatonin pills can help me fall asleep
