I popped into Kroger over the weekend to grab a few things, and while I was there picked up PEOPLE Magazine’s Annual Sexiest Man Alive 2012 edition. I have to be honest and say that I am a bit surprised by this year’s pick. Channing Tatum is definitely a cutie and his summer movie Magic Mike was a big hit (although I didn’t see it), but he doesn’t strike me as sexy. I think it’s an age thing, since he’s only a few years older than my son, Sid. From all the chit chat I’ve seen on Facebook and Twitter, Channing Tatum seems to have a pretty large fan club! So, I might possibly be in the minority on this one.
Although one of my faves didn’t make the cover, there were plenty of sexy men inside and it’s still a great issue of PEOPLE Magazine. I was glad to see a spotlight for the salt and pepper gents which included one of my dream guys Daniel Craig. I love flipping through the pages of PEOPLE Magazine when I am taking a coffee break, or just want to escape for a few minutes. There are always great celebrity pics and updates on whose doing what.
Coffee and hunky men — what more could a girl want?
I enjoyed looking through the ‘Sexy at Any Age’ feature, where I spotted another one of my faves Simon Baker. Mom (Laura) and I look forward to watching him on The Mentalist every week!
If you watched the Summer Olympics, you’ll know about Oscar Pistorious. He’s a courageous and handsome Olympin from South Africa, who just happens to be a double amputee. Oscar held his own up against the fastest men in the world. His story is truly inspiring and he is a such an amazing role model for persons with disabilities. Major kudos to PEOPLE Magazine for including him!
The annual Sexiest Man Alive issue is more than just sexy men, although there is plenty of that to go around. I also enjoy reading about celebrity moms and their babies. I just love the pic of Reese Witherspoon spotted out with her baby, and Suri with her mom Katie is always adorable.
Although I always like reading PEOPLE Magazine, the Sexiest Man Alive issue is one that I really look forward to every year. Even though one of my pics didn’t get the cover this time, it’s still a great issue and I’ve already enjoyed flipping through it about a dozen times or so.
Did your favorite guy make this issue?
