Sometimes you just need to get dinner onto the table fast, and this 15 Minute Chili recipe is perfect for those occasions.

15 Minute Chili Recipe

It’s not going to win you any ribbons at the state fair, but I would choose this chili over the fast food drive through any day of the week.

This recipe uses some shortcut ingredients like canned diced tomatoes with green peppers, celery and onions so you don’t have to do any chopping. If you happen to have a few extra minutes to dice some pepper and onions, go for it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green peppers, celery and onions
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chili beans, drained
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

Step 1: In a large skillet or pot, brown meat.

Step 2: Drain off excess grease, if necessary.

Step 3: Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and salt to the meat mixture.

Step 4: Cook until heated through.

That’s it! Easy peasy!

I love the convenience of slow cooker recipes, but I don’t always plan my meals in advance. This 15 minute chili is perfect for those occasions. You could even add some cooked elbow noodles to this chili to make a simple chili mac!

My husband usually makes our chili with lots of ingredients. But this looks like a quick, easy recipe. Sounds tasty too. Thanks for posting.
