ABC Egg Hunt with FREE Printable

Guest AuthorBy Guest Author
Easter fun for the kids. Use our free printable and plastic dollar store eggs for a fun, ABC egg hunt game that can played indoors or outdoors.

One of the most wonderful things about this time of year is…the dollar store!  I have to tell you how much I love hunting for thrifty, diy activities to do with my kiddos from the dollar store.  Today I’d like to share with you one of the ways I use those adorable plastic dollar store eggs for a fun, ABC egg hunt game that can played indoors or outdoors.  Your children are sure to enjoy this ABC Egg Hunt FREE Printable!

ABC Egg Hunt with Free Printable

Supplies:

Tip:  Be sure to print 2 copies of the FREE printable, in either color or black and white.  1 copy is for cutting apart the letters and the second copy is for checking off the letters found during the ABC Egg Hunt.

Be sure to fill each egg with 1, 2 or 3 letters to make the game more exciting!  My kids loved finding the eggs with more than 1 letter inside.

Time to Play!

Hint:  Here’s a 2 player variation of this game.  Player #1 chooses a color marker and player #2 chooses a different color marker.  They both set out to find as many eggs that are hidden as possible.  They then open their eggs revealing the letters inside and cross them off on the same printable game sheet.  The player with the most letters crossed off is the winner!  Remember:  Since the eggs may have 1, 2 or 3 letters hidden inside, the player with the most eggs found may not always be the winner.  The winner isn’t revealed until all letters are tallied up at the end!

Have a wonderful Easter and happy hunting!  Enjoy!

I love this idea! I need to do this with my preschooler, a great activity to incorporate into our homeschooling.
