Who knew frying a hamburger “in air” would make them taste this freaking amazing?

The other day, I was writing a food blog after making my first hamburgers in an air fryer, and I had to stop myself. I had gone, as one says, a little cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs or, in this case, cuckoo for air-fried hamburgers.
I got so excited, seeing how wonderfully juicy, tender, and enticingly flavorful my burgers had become, seemingly all by themselves. I began to make up a little ditty about air fryers that went to the Tigger song:
“The wonderful thing about air fryers is that air fryers are wonderful things; they make onion rings taste amazing, and make hamburgers just SING.” Then, I got to the bouncy, flouncy, pounce-y, pounce-y” part, and my song fell apart, but my dear readers, for a minute there, I thought I was onto my first big single.
And air fryers can fill one with that kind of feeling as you get to know all the wonderful things that air fryers can do—like really make the most amazing hamburgers you’ve ever had—with hardly any effort on your part.
I mean, you really literally just toss the hamburger patties into the air fryer basket, close it tight, set it, forget it, and come back to deeply browned patties, fried to perfection on all sides for you.
What moms will love about air-fryer hamburgers
Moms, sometimes you need food cooked quickly, when in a hurry, right? Well, then, ladies, you’ve found your best friend in an air fryer.
This magical little device is capable of making French fries crispy on the outside and pillowy-soft on the inside. They also give burgers a wonderfully dewy-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside kind of quality.
Air fryers achieve this by circulating hot air around the meat, allowing it to cook in its own fat instead of added fat, like when you use oil on a pan. Cooking burgers in their own juices intensifies their flavor so much that, believe it or not, a simple seasoning of salt and pepper is more than enough.

How do I store leftovers?
Air-fryer hamburgers will stay fresh in the refrigerator, wrapped tightly with plastic wrap or in an airtight container, for 3-4 days. You can also freeze air-fried hamburgers for up to 3 months if you stack them, separated by parchment or wax paper, in a gallon-sized freezer bag and press all the air out.
