This Burger Sauce is like the best of Big Mac Sauce meets the original Chick-fil-A Sauce. I know my condiments, ya know. I eat this scooped up with … my fingers.

I love condiments so much that I don’t mind a sandwich comprised chiefly of them. I’ll take ketchup, pickles, jalapeño, and a good, grainy mustard on wheat and call that a sandwich any day, any time.
Really.
I mean, I often add a sauce to my mayonnaise sandwiches in celebration of the heaven that is mayonnaise itself.
Then, I discovered this luscious sauce. Now I have a new sauce that tastes great all by itself or on various hamburgers, ham sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, and more. Then, you’ve got onion rings and other starchy snacks that all taste heavenly dipped in this, like waffle fries, potato wedges, spicy curly fries, and crinkle-cut fries … Yes, all—all of these foods taste amazing in this pickle-y, ketchup-y, mayonnaise-y kind of sauce that is creamy, subtly sweet, definitely tangy, and very delicious.
On a burger, it’s amazing. Imagine the savory, beefy flavor of a burger just set ablaze with a dollop of this creamy, indulgent sauce that combines the vinegar’s acid, the ketchup and sugar’s sweetness, the mayonnaise’s creaminess, and a bit of bitterness that comes via onion powder and paprika. No wonder it’s good; you’ve set all your taste buds on fire with FLAVOR.
What Tastes Good With This Burger Sauce?
Mind you; it’s not just burgers that taste amazing in this, but a long, long list of nibbles, from savory wing-type things to veggie-cauliflower-type things to snack-y chips or Cheetos-type things (not to mention a long list of meats, cheese, crustaceans, and pizza slices that all taste good dunked deep into this sauce).
I’m enjoying this on many tasty treats. Last night, I made my favorite stuffed potato skins, all heaped high with Buffalo chicken and smothered in cheddar cheese. I was dipping them into a big bowl of this luscious sauce. I got so lost in the experience that I looked up to see five big, hungry dogs staring at me with their heads a-tilt in sheer wonder at this happy display. And they didn’t even paw me. They just stared.

How Do I Store Leftovers?
You can store this sauce in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. I use a mason jar because I like the tight lid, so I can enjoy my burger sauce at its peak deliciousness for the whole 2 weeks. You cannot freeze this sauce because the mayo and relish do not freeze well when combined.

Serving Suggestions
I like to serve this burger sauce on my favorite hamburgers, which are currently swoon-worthy, heady, cheesy, beefy Ricotta Burgers with Mushrooms. That sweet, tangy sauce complements those mushrooms’ deep, delicious umami and the taste of that cheese just perfectly.
I accompany these indulgent, sauced burgers with some sides to play off that rich entree deliciously, like these Loaded Tater Tots, my favorite side, period. This is for a really hungry night, mind you. Otherwise, try some veggie sides and get all healthy-moms, like this delicious Pecan, Peach, and Goat Cheese Salad. Those sharp vinaigrette and sweet peach flavors play deliciously off those rich, savory, tangy burgers.
Another great side is this Deviled Egg Potato Salad, with its blend of egg, mayo, and mustard complementing all deliciously. For dessert, how about something chocolate, right? Like this Copycat Cracker Barrel Chocolate Coca-Cola Cake. It’s swoon-worthy.
