This is a partnered post with Honey Maid – the maker of delicious, wholesome snacks.
When I received an adorable gift package from Honey Maid, complete with Honey Maid Graham Crackers, a log basket, and flaming background, I knew right away that I had the perfect backdrop and ingredients to make some S’mores on a Stick.
As a former Brownie and Girl Scout, I grew up making S’mores by the campfire. It’s a tradition that I carried on with my own son and now my nieces and nephew. S’mores are the perfect all season treat. They are great for summer camping and as Halloween party treats. Last Halloween, Mom and I put these adorable S’mores kits together for my nieces and nephew’s friends.
You really don’t need an excuse to make S’mores, but the upcoming National S’mores Day on August 10th is the perfect excuse to make them. If you’re looking for something super simple that doesn’t require an actual flame, I recommend these S’mores on a Stick. After all, foods on sticks are way more fun!
How to Make S’mores on a Stick
ingredients:
marshmallows
melting chocolate (morsels work fine)
Honey Maid Graham Crackers
lollipop sticks (available at your local craft store)
directions:
1. Using a rolling pin and ziploc bag or a food processor, crush the graham crackers and place in a shallow bowl or pie plate.
2. Place a marshmallow onto a stick.
3. Over a double boiler or in the microwave, melt the chocolate until smooth. Carefully dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate until well coated, and gently shake off any excess. Immediately dip into crushed graham crackers to coat.
4. Set on a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet to cool. Allow to sit at least one hour or until the chocolate is firm to the touch.
If you like this idea, I have a feeling you are also going to like Honey Maid’s S’mores Muffins and S’mores Pops. They look delicious!
