There’s no getting around the fact that sending our kids to college is expensive. What if there were a way to earn cash back for college when shopping for the things you normally buy online? You’re in luck, because there is such a program and it’s so easy to incorporate into your normal shopping routine. Upromise is a rewards program where shoppers can earn cash back for college. It is free to join and existing members have received more than $750 million through Upromise by Sallie Mae. You can earn cash back on purchases you are planning, such as: travel, dining, online shopping, grocery eCoupons, and gas. There are more than 900+ online shopping partners, and more than 800 of those offer 5% or more cash back for college.
How does it all work?
It’s so easy to get started with Upromise and it’s FREE to join!. It only takes a couple of minutes to register your account on the Upromise by Sallie Mae website. Once registered, to earn cash back while online shopping click to a retailers site from Upromise.com or click from a link in a Upromise email. By simply starting your online shopping at Upromise.com at hundreds of online retail partners such as Target, Apple, Staples, Famous Footwear, JCPenney, Best Buy, Macy’s, Old Navy, and many more. With many partners you can earn as much as five percent cash back for college on eligible purchases. As an added bonus, if you use the Upromise credit card, you can get 10 percent or more cash back. Money earned through Upromise can be put in a 529 college savings plan, put towards student loans, deposited in a Sallie Mae savings account, or you can get a check.
To make saving easier just download the RewardU toolbar that reminds you of saving opportunities when you shop online with Upromise. It literally took me seconds to download and start using the RewardU Chrome toolbar extension. The toolbar is also compatible with IE and Firefox browsers.
Another thing I really like about shopping through Upromise are the exclusive offers for more great savings. There are daily deals, free shipping offers, and special coupon codes and savings for Upromise members. Macy’s had a great sale on top that I really liked and I’ve been thinking about buying it. Then I remembered to visit Upromise by Sallie Mae to see if there were any additional savings or offers available. There was! I was able to use an exclusive coupon code to get that same top at an additional 20% off ($7.80), in addition to the 5% cash back for college!
I encourage you to check this program out for yourself and join the many families like mine who have earned over $670 million – and counting with Upromise by Sallie Mae.
Impressive. Sounds like something I should look into.
I love this program and how easy they make it to help save for your child’s education.
That sounds like a very simple way to get some money back! I need to check it out.
I need to login to my Upromise account. I opened it before my daughter was born– 9 years ago!
We’ve been using this since my daughter was born, though we don’t have much money in the account.
I love Upromise. It’s a great help when you have Student loans.
Every little bit helps is what I say, better than leaving the money behind.
We already use Upromise
I signed up for upromise a long time and forget to use it. I should look back into that
Sometimes I kick myself for not using that before my kids went to college. I do think the program is far more robust now though. I think it’s definitely worth using!
