Easter is such a fun holiday for getting crafty. There’s nothing more adorable than bunnies and chicks. Spring flowers are just so inspiring, and I love all the vibrant colors of the season.

My latest spring craft project features Easter candy – something else I happen to LOVE. For Easter dinner, I thought it would nice to make something edible and fun for each place setting, and ended up making these sweet Easter candy flower pots.

Easter Candy Flower Pots are such a fun Easter craft to do with the kids! Give them as gifts or use as part of your Easter dinner place setting.

Here’s how to get started:

First, gather your Easter candy. I used an assortment of my favorite Hershey’s Easter candy.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs Assortment bag
Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bunnies
Cadbury Creme Egg Candy
Cadbury Mini Egg Candy
Whoppers Robin Eggs Candy
Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolates
Jolly Rancher Gummies Bunny Food Shaped Candy
Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans
Hershey’s Solid Milk Chocolate Eggs

Next, prepare your pots. I used small terra cotta pots which are so plentiful this time of the year, and inexpensive. I picked up 5-inch pots, but you could get away with a smaller size. Paint each pot with acrylic craft paints and allow to dry completely.

You’ll need some styrofoam to fill each pot. I used 4-inch balls and cut them in half. I placed each half into a pot, cut side up. Since this is an edible treat, you’ll want to wrap each piece of foam in plastic wrap, before placing it into the pot.

Add some grass. I tinted some coconut green for the grass. You could use paper Easter grass, but I wanted something edible. Sprinkle the grass atop the styrofoam.

Lastly, add your Easter candy. I pushed some popsicle sticks into the bottom of Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs so they would stand up like flowers. Additional popsicle sticks were used to prop up the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bunnies.

I filled each pot with a variety of candy eggs like Cadbury Mini Egg Candy, Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans, and Whoppers Mini Robin Eggs Candy.

In one of the bunny pots I added Jolly Rancher Gummies Bunny Food Shaped Candy. Have you seen these candies? They are adorable!

This is such a fun Easter craft project to do with the kids. Get creative with it. If you don’t want to use these as part of your Easter place setting, I think they also make pretty sweet Easter gifts.
