I cannot believe that 2013 is coming to an end. It’s been an amazing year for me both personally and professionally. There is a part of me that wants to stay and relish in all the greatness of 2013, but it’s time to look ahead to even more exciting things to come in 2014. We’ll probably be sharing some highlights from the year on the blog in a few days. Laura and I have been taking a much needed break this past week, but I wanted to write this quick post to share some festive New Year’s Eve party ideas.
New Year’s Bubbly Gift Tag
The last few years my family has been staying home to ring in the new year, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a lot of fun. If you’re visiting with friends or going to a party, a bottle of champagne or wine is the perfect hostess gift.

I made a simple printable that can be tied onto a bottle of bubbly for make a festive gift. The tag is in the classic New Year’s Eve colors of silver and gold, with the fun saying “wishing you a sparkling new year” which is perfectly appropriate for a bottle of champagne or sparkling beverage.

There are 4 tags to a sheet. To get the tags, simply right click save the image to your computer and print on card stock paper to fit the page. Tie the tag onto a bottle of bubbly with a pretty ribbon, for an instant gift. (For your personal use only. If you would like to share, please link to this blog post.)

New Year’s Eve Party Hats
For some more sparkle, you might also want to make these festive New Year’s Party Hats that we made for our party last year.
Sprinkle Dipped Champagne Glasses
I always have a ton of sprinkles, in every shape and color. It’s one of those things I admittedly have a bit of an addiction to, along with washi tape. To add a festive touch to your glasses on New Year’s Eve, dip the rim of the glass in some water and then dip the wet rim into a shallow dish of sprinkles.

I just love these sprinkle dipped champagne glasses. This also a great use of your leftover Christmas sprinkles. Just mix and match with whatever sprinkles you have.

Homemade Fortune Cookies
Are you planning any New Year’s Eve snacks? You might enjoy these homemade fortune cookies that we made last year. It was so much fun personalizing the fortunes that went inside.

I hope this gave you some ideas to have your own festive New Year’s Eve party this year!

I went over to your paper fortune cookies post since there wasn’t a picture in this post and they are gorgeous. I can think of so many prints and designs that I can use to make those at different times of the year. I can’t wait to give that DIY a chance 🙂
Thanks so much, Cassie! There was supposed to be a picture of the paper fortune cookies. Adding it now. Ack! 🙂

I love the idea of making fortune cookies, I am going to get my teens working on that!
These are great ideas. I’m going to pin them; I also love the simplicity of dipping the champagne glasses in water and sprinkles. Very festive but also elegant if you use silver or gold sprinkles. Thanks.
