Football Word Puzzle

We are not huge football fans at our house, but we do get caught up in all the enthusiasm and frenzy of the Super Bowl. Plus, I’m always up for an opportunity to create a fun craft or an activity.

The kids got a scrabble junior game for Christmas and have enjoyed creating words, so I thought it would be fun to create a football word puzzle for the Superbowl (or anytime).

This would be a fun activity for a Superbowl party or as part of activities and lessons leading up to the Superbowl.

Words puzzles can be used in many ways:

  • Competition
  • Timed challenge
  • Learning activity
  • Just for fun.

They can be used in groups, in pairs or individually.  They are great and enjoyable for both kids and adults.

This word puzzle is not just for kids. It can be enjoyed by adults too; especially when you get a little competitiveness going. After creating this word puzzle, I did it to see how many words I could create. I challenged my husband when he got home; he beat me (but only by 2).
