This post about Gifts That Give Back was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided the featured product in exchange to facilitate my review, however all opinions expressed are genuinely my own.
Bringing Zach home from the hospital for the first time was very exciting, however all I remember is how incredibly exhausted I was transitioning into motherhood. It was so tough. Mom life has definitely proven to be challenging, but not something I would ever trade for the world. Those sleepless nights are what helped me be the best mom I could be for my newborn, but it never hurts to have a helping hand along the way.
Sometimes, that helping hand can be as simple as a great quality diaper for your little one. I exclusively used cloth diapers up until Zach turned one, but I do know how important it was for me to have a great quality diapers that would keep him dry all night long. Pampers is a brand that my older sisters currently love for their little ones.
By interviewing over 9,000 moms about what was important for their baby, Pampers found the number one unmet need is a diaper that provides superior overnight dryness. Pampers incorporated this firsthand insight, as well as the brand’s deep understanding of baby and baby’s needs, to design a diaper that both mom and baby could count on for up to 12 hours of overnight protection. Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers’ softest diaper and the #1 choice of hospitals, is now available through size 5! Pampers Cruisers are now more absorbent and offer Pamper’s best fit for all the ways babies play freely.
Gifts That Give Back: Giving The Gift of Sleep
I know how hard it can be for new moms to get a good night’s sleep, so I was given a mission to give the gift of sleep. One of my close friends recently gave birth and welcomed a handsome little boy into this world. I wanted to surprise her with a few gifts that would help her and her son get a good night’s sleep. There are tons of gifts that give back to new moms, here’s an easy example of one that I thought was perfect.
I teamed up with Pampers to put together a gift basket that would be perfect for them. For her little one, I include two packages of Pampers diapers in her gift basket so that he would stay dry all night long. This means less interruptions for mom! I also include some of my favorite Johnson & Johnson baby products to help her get him ready for bed. Some baby shampoo, baby oil, baby powder, and vaseline along with a small baby blue loofa for bath time. I also included a soft and cozy Carter’s sleep ‘n play (I loved these when Zach was a newborn), and warm blanket!
For mom, I included a few gifts that give back so that she could take a nice, warm bath to get ready before bed. I chose cherry blossom body wash and body lotion, as well as a shea sugar body scrub and a loofa. I also included a long, incredibly soft and cozy bath robe so she can wear out of the bathtub to stay warm.
I was so excited to be able to give her the gift of sleep because I know how important it is for new moms to get some relaxation and quality “me” time. She was really excited about the gift and was so happy that she would be able to have a wonderful goodnight’s sleep finally! Equipped with Pampers diapers for her little one, I know she will be having few interruptions for diaper changes at night, meaning more hours of sleep!

I would say to take it easy. I have a 10 month old and it has been a busy year. It is ok if the dishes go unwashed or you wait until the next day to vacum.
My number one tip is to always trust your instincts and don’t worry if people think you are over protective as long as baby is taken care of and you have peace of mind.
Try to nap when they nap. Don’t spoil them by picking them up every time they fuss, you will regret it later
Nap when they nap!!!!
My Tip Is To Sleep When The Baby Sleeps And Establish A Routine.

I tell moms every baby is different and don’t listen to what is or isn’t normal, just because your friend’s kid sleeps this way for this many hours or eats this much, doesn’t mean that is what works for your baby, also to let things go, you will no longer have the perfectly clean house and a neat to do list to check off, things will be crazy for awhile but that is fine
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Take some time for yourself to recharge. 🙂

I like to give the advice of proper car seat safety. Not a lot of people are educated on it, and usually everyone appreciates hearing about the proper way for a child to be in a car seat.
For your first kid, sleep when the baby sleeps! (Obviously doesn’t work for subsequent kids, lol) Also, establish a bedtime routine early – it really does make a difference.
